Xichang is located in the hinterland of Anning Valley Plain in western Sichuan Plateau (elevation1500m ~ 2500m). Anning Valley is a typical graben valley, with Xiaoxiangling Mountain, Luoji Mountain and Longjiao Mountain in the east and Yak Mountain in the west, which are roughly parallel and form a wide trough valley. After long-term erosion and accumulation, the valley has been eroded and accumulated.

* Deep fault: a large regional fault that goes deep underground and has a long development period. Its cutting depth can reach the lower crust, and it can even cut through the crust into the mantle.

Graben valley: developed in the area where the crust is stretched. Under the action of horizontal stretching, the crust is vertically thinned, and two groups of high-angle normal faults with yokes are formed on the upper part, and the land between them descends, forming a graben.

Yak Mountain in the west is the main part of the city's mountainous area, accounting for half of the city's total area, running through the whole territory from north to south, forming a watershed between Anning River and Yalong River. Many peaks in the north are more than 3500 meters above sea level and gradually decrease to the south. The whole mountain range, most of the boundaries are between 2000 and 3000 meters; On the east side of Anning River is Luoji Mountain Range, with its north main ridge line in Xide County and south main ridge line on the dividing line between Xichang and Puge.

▲ In Xichang, it doesn't rain for more than 250 days, 365 days a year, with 2400 hours of sunshine all year round, more than anywhere east of the same latitude.

Compared with the Sichuan Basin, which has never seen the sun all the year round, Xichang is an anomaly.

Xichang's climate belongs to tropical plateau monsoon climate zone. Because of its high altitude, low latitude, many sunshine hours, strong ultraviolet rays, high wind speed, large evaporation of water vapor, low humidity and few foggy days. Affected by the polar continental air mass, there is little precipitation in winter, resulting in dry and clean air, less clouds and less rain. Xichang has more sunny days and more sunshine hours in winter, which has the climatic characteristics of "no severe cold in winter and no high temperature in spring". Therefore, it is called Sun City.

Qionghai, the second largest freshwater lake in Sichuan, was called Qiongchi in ancient times. It belongs to the early Pleistocene fault lake with a history of about1.8000 years. Its shape is like a snail, and its water area is wide, about 3 1 km2. The lake basin is pot-bottom-shaped, and the depth varies greatly from the shore to the center of the lake. The average depth of the lake is 14m, and the deepest part is about 34m.

* Fault lake: a lake formed by stagnant water in a depression formed by fault depression.

Qionghai, like some plateau lakes in China, is famous for its tranquility and different seasons. In spring, the sky, water and palladium are boundless and sparkling, and Cangshan is green. "People on the boat are roaming in a world of pictorial", and the shore is full of eyebrows and peaches.

In summer, the lake is bright, the rosy clouds are dazzling, and the mountain temples and fishing villages set each other off.

Autumn is the freshest day, the sun sets, Qi Fei is lonely, and the scenery with long autumn waters makes people linger. In winter, the lake is clear, and red maple and cypress trees are reflected on the lake. In the afternoon, the wind blows and the waves are urgent, like white geese playing on the waves.

Qionghai is not only beautiful, but also the best place to enjoy the moon in Xichang. The ancients once praised the Qionghai Moon and said, "The moon rises out of Qiongchi and Ming Che is empty." . According to legend, Qionghai is the bathing place of the Moonlight Fairy. Every night in the lunar month, fairies come to the world and play in Qionghai. Therefore, the moonlight on this day is the brightest and most beautiful, and it is refreshing to enjoy.

Xichang has a beautiful moon, which is inseparable from the unique local climate conditions. Xichang is located in the western Sichuan Plateau, with high altitude, less rainfall and low air humidity. And the sky is clear and open at night, and the moon rises without hindrance. In addition, the plateau is vast and sparsely populated, the air is almost pollution-free, there is little suspended matter in the atmosphere, and the air transparency is great. So the moon in Xichang is big and bright, and the moonlight is pure and bright and beautiful. Therefore, it is called the Moon City.

Luoji Mountain was once a Buddhist shrine in early China. Since the early Han Dynasty, Buddhism prevailed in the Tang Dynasty (there were more than 3,000 monks in Luoji Temple at its peak), and many temples were built, but the ruins still exist.

After the end of the Tang Dynasty, Buddhism declined gradually due to war and other reasons, so there were sayings that "Emei began to appear after dwelling in a humble abode" and "Dwelling in the mountains opened and Emei closed". Buddhists call Luoji Mountain "Wei Zi". From the early Qing Dynasty to Daoxian County, temples gradually re-emerged. According to records, only at the foot of Luoji Mountain, there are two great temples of Cao Dong religion. Luoji Mountain is called a fairyland by Buddhists because of its clear water and deep valleys, misty clouds and endless landscapes.

The Black Dragon Pool on Luoji Mountain is nearly 4000 meters above sea level. In the cold wind and fog, the water is dark but sparkling (this is the result of a large number of minerals in the water being refracted by sunlight).

The water system bred in the mountains is 99 miles, with one mile and one scene, nine miles and one wonder, and * * * 99 scenes, hence the name.

The 99-mile hot spring in Luoji Mountain is recognized by world record association as the largest hot spring waterfall in the world, which is the core scenic spot of Luoji Mountain, with the highest peak at an altitude of 4,359 meters. In 2065, it was rated as the first hot spring in the world by CCTV, 438+03. Hot spring water of 40 degrees all the year round flies down from the cliff in the Mid-Levels. Hundreds of hot spring waterfalls of different sizes have formed a group of hot spring waterfalls with a width of more than 200 meters, of which the highest waterfall has a drop of 50 meters, which is very spectacular.

city

Xichang is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Panxi region, an important city at the junction of Sichuan and Yunnan, a core city in Panxi urban agglomeration built by Sichuan, and a world-famous Sun City, Moon City and Space City, also known as Spring City.

The town at the foot of the mountain, the new street and the old street are combined together, retaining the most simple appearance.

Even doing business is so simple. There is a small stool at the door, and the Qionghai fish just caught is in the basin, just like waiting for the right person. Or sit on the floor by the roadside, spread out the vegetables collected by yourself and negotiate the price before selling. Although they are all bought and sold for one dollar, they can maintain their lives.

Xichang, belonging to Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, is the largest Yi inhabited area in China. There are still many Yi people in the local area who keep their own national characteristics. Generally, the clothes of young men and women are brightly colored and varied. Middle-aged people have fewer patterns than young people, and the colors used are sky blue, green, purple, blue and white, which are solemn and simple. Old people often use blue-green cloth, only the blue edge of Tsing Yi or the blue edge of blue clothes as decoration.

Tuotuo meat is a famous Yi cuisine. Sichuan dialect is called "Kuai" Tuo, hence the name "Tuotuo Meat". How to eat it is to cut cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens or wild animals into pieces and cook them, and sprinkle them with salt, Chili powder, pepper powder and local "dead wood" (called "Litsea cubeba" in Chinese). Yi people are used to using suckling pigs as raw materials, which makes the taste more crisp and tender, slag in the mouth, fat but not greasy, and fresh and tender. It is enough to see the unrestrained temperament of the Yi people who "eat meat in large pieces and drink in large bowls".

This is a unique local food in Xichang, especially famous. Shrimp is raw shrimp. Clean the live shrimp and bury it directly in the seasoned white wine, and the shrimp will get drunk slowly in the wine. The reason why it is called drunken shrimp is because dipping in water is made of spices such as yellow wine and pepper. In the process of eating, you can obviously taste the umami flavor of raw shrimp and the aroma of wine, which is spicy but extremely enjoyable.
