I think I can only give you a rough explanation of Wei Zi Palace from the perspective of ancient astronomy.

The ancients divided the visible part of the sky into three areas: Wei Zi Palace, Taiwei Palace and Shitong Palace.

Among them, Wei Zi Palace refers to the starry sky near Polaris. I don't know if you have long-term experience in observing the stars. If you have it, you will find that only Polaris in the sky will not change its position all year round-all other stars will change with the seasons. Therefore, the ancients said that "the stars are in the north", because this phenomenon is just like all the stars revolve around Polaris, so Polaris is in the center, and Wei Zi Palace is also in the center.

Also, astronomers in ancient China also divided many constellations in the sky, calling them "stars", but today's Polaris is only the first star of "Gouchen".

In addition, it should be pointed out that Polaris is not eternal because of the swing of the earth's axis. For example, "Beichen" before the Tang and Song Dynasties refers to Shu Tian in the Arctic. It has been hundreds of years since it became Chen Yi.
