Brief introduction of Xuan Di Temple

Xuandiji Zhuan Xu, also known as Huang Gan, was one of the five ancient emperors. He is the grandson of the Yellow Emperor and his surname is Ji. His father was Changyi, the second son of the Yellow Emperor, and was sealed in Ruoshui. He married the daughter of a family in Shushan, and gave birth to Zhuan Xu. Zhuan Xu has a deep personality and is resourceful. At the age of fifteen, he assisted Shao Hao, ruled Jiuli area, and was sealed in Gaoyang (now East of Qixian County, Henan Province), so he was also called Levin's. After the death of the Yellow Emperor, Zhuan Xu proclaimed himself emperor because of virtue, at the age of twenty. Legend has it that in the late years of the Yellow Emperor, witchcraft prevailed in Jiuli, ghosts and gods were worshipped, superstitions prevailed, and the atmosphere was corrupted. Everything is decided by divination, and people are not at ease about production. In order to solve this problem, Zhuan Xu banned witchcraft and folk divination activities to connect man and God. Worship the ancestors of heaven and earth in person and set an example for all the people. He also appointed Nan Zhongzheng to make sacrifices to heaven in order to reconcile with the gods. Bei Lizheng was appointed to be in charge of civil affairs to comfort everyone. Persuade people to follow the laws of nature to engage in agricultural production and encourage people to reclaim land. Restore social order. Zhuan Xu gave birth to Shun's great-grandfather Qiong Chan. According to legend, he reigned for 78 years, died at the age of 98 and was buried in Puyang. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the King of Chu was his descendant. Qu Yuan claimed to be the descendant of Emperor Zhuan Xu in Lisao, and Qu Yuan and the King of Chu were a family.
