Is the Shangqing school a righteous school or a quanzhen school?

Shangqing school is not orthodox, nor does it belong to Quanzhen school.

Shangqing School and Quanzhen School are both important schools of Taoism, but they are different in belief and practice. Shangqing School originated in Jin Dynasty, mainly developed from Taoism in southern Shi Tian. They mainly believe in the "Yuanshi Tianzun" in taoist sanqing, also known as the "Maoshan School". Taoist priests of the Shangqing school can get married and have children without becoming monks and ordained. Shangqing school is closer to the concept of orthodox school, because Taoist priests are allowed to get married and have children, and there is no strict monk system.
