Yin Ruins and the Beginning of Belief History
Yin ruins, also known as Yin ruins, are the ruins of Yin, the capital of the late Shang Dynasty. Historical records. Xiang Yu Ben Jiyun said: "Xiang Yu was born in the south of Huanshui. Liu Songpei's ode to Fu in Records of the Historians once quoted an ancient China saying:' Yin belongs to Li. Only after thousands of years of turmoil and changes, the former Yin capital has disappeared, and its city site has long been impossible to verify. By the 25th year of Guangxu in the late Qing Dynasty, people had discovered Oracle Bone Inscriptions used for divination. These Oracle Bone Inscriptions came from Anyang, Henan. At that time, Chinese and foreign people gathered there in succession. After many excavations, it is confirmed that Yin Ruins are indeed in the south of Huanshui, and its center is Xiaotun Village in the northwest of Anyang. Therefore, Yin Sui became the earliest capital city in the history of China where the exact location could be determined.
Since the large-scale excavation of 1928, the archaeological work of Yin Ruins has been going on continuously. People have found palaces, tombs and workshops of the Shang Dynasty in the ruins with a total area of about 24 square kilometers, and unearthed a large number of bronzes, pottery, stone tools, jade articles, tortoise shells and animal bones engraved with ancient Chinese characters. At present, there are no fewer than160,000 Chinese characters in Oracle Bone Inscriptions, and there are more than 4,000 different Chinese characters. Because most of these characters are records used by Yin people to predict good or bad luck, they are also called Oracle Bone Inscriptions or Wen Qi. They have the basic characteristics of modern Chinese characters, and are the earliest mature Chinese characters that can be discovered and recognized in large quantities, which is of great value to the study of ancient history.
Of course, it is not completely certain whether the Shang Dynasty really opened the history of China's faithfulness. If "Xia Ruins Culture" breaks ground, or hieroglyphics five or six thousand years ago are found, the beginning of China's faithfulness will be greatly advanced.
