What is the origin and development of poetry?
Primitive humans could not understand many natural phenomena, such as wind, electricity, thunder and rain, so they all attributed them to God. Primitive humans sang and danced to the gods out of awe, expressing people's expectations-good weather, abundant crops and so on. This is the origin of poetry.
Second, the development of poetry.
As early as the Western Zhou Dynasty and the Spring and Autumn Period, a large number of exquisite folk songs appeared, mostly related to the love between men and women in labor production. In order to understand the folk customs, the rulers at that time actively collected these folk songs and compiled them into collections, resulting in China's first collection of poems.
During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, it was the three Cao and seven Zi of Jian 'an who propped up the poetry culture at that time, which was the so-called Jian 'an style. Most of them express that life is short, ambition is hard to pay, sorrow is grand, and they have very distinctive personal charm characteristics.
During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the poetic style reached a new peak. There were four outstanding talents in the early Tang Dynasty. Later, in the period of Wu Zetian, Song and Shen Quanqi found through continuous research that if poetry was written according to certain musical scale rules, it would achieve better acoustic effects, thus laying the foundation for the metrical problem of quatrains.
In the middle and late Tang Dynasty, many poets began to write Ci, paving the way for the emergence of Song Ci.
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, there were basically no good poems, but there were poets such as Li Yu and Yan Feng, who were famous in the late Tang Dynasty. Later, the transition to the Song Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu, Su Dongpo, Liu Yong, Li Qingzhao, Xin Qiji and so on. Once again, it pushed Song Ci to an artistic peak.
Extended data:
The Tang Dynasty was a country of poetry, and poets came forth in large numbers. For example, Yang Jiong, Lu and Luo, who are known as the "four outstanding figures in the early Tang Dynasty"; Cen Can, Gao Shi and Wang Zhihuan, who are famous for frontier poems; Meng Haoran, famous for his landscape poems; In particular, Li Bai, a poet, Du Fu, a poet sage, and Bai Juyi, a popular poet, are even more brilliant.
The development of Tang poetry reached its peak. Five-character poems, seven-character poems and miscellaneous poems compete with each other like flowers in Wan Fang gardens. In particular, a new poetic style, metrical poetry, has emerged, which is even more dazzling.
Rhyme is a poetic style with strict metrical requirements. It has strict rules on the number of words, sentences, rhyming, leveling and antithesis. This poetic style is unprecedented. In order to show the difference from classical poetry, the Tang Dynasty called it modern poetry or modern poetry. Rhyme is the representative of Tang poetry, which was inherited by later poets. Although there are many excellent poems after the Tang Dynasty, there are basically no major new breakthroughs.
