Extended data:

Nanjing was once one of the important towns of Taoism, with Taoist temples including Chaotian Palace, Sanmao Palace, Yeshan Daoyuan and Tianfei Palace.

Now the heavenly palace is used for other purposes. Although Tianfei Palace has been restored, it is not hosted by many Taoist temples, and other Taoist temples have been abandoned or do not exist.

The Tianhou Palace ancient building complex was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty, and the present situation is basically well preserved. It is a well-preserved ancient road dedicated to Mazu in China. Mazu belief is a multi-faith sea god in the southeast coast of China and compatriots in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, and it is also a god worshipped in Taoism.

Nanjing Tianhou Palace can not only continue the belief system of Mazu culture and carry forward the national traditional cultural heritage, but also serve as a golden link between overseas compatriots and overseas Chinese.
