Whose Dojo is Hongluo Temple?

Founder Ji Xing (1741-1810), a native of Hebei province, is commonly known as Ma. Awakening on International Day, dreaming of the East, the 12th founder of Pure Land Sect.

Ji Xing, the founder of Ji Xing, became a monk at the age of 23 and studied under Jue Yuan, Fahua, Leng Yan and King Kong. In the fifth year of Jiaqing (AD 1800), he went to Hongluo Temple to establish the Pure Land Dojo, and was called the first person to practice Buddhism. The founder devoted himself to the pure land, giving lectures constantly and persuading people to read Buddha. Scholars from all over the world gathered and became famous.

Monks from Southeast Asia, such as Korea, are not far from Wan Li. They came to study Confucian classics and Taoism, which made Hongluo Temple famous and incense increasingly popular. The world calls it: "the pure land in the sea is the first to push the red snail." Ji Xing is also considered as the twelfth ancestor of Pure Land Sect. The Collection of Master Mengdong's Last Works compiled by disciples has been handed down to this day.

The life of the character

Master is very smart since he was a child. When he was a little longer, he loved reading books and classics. At the age of 22, because of a serious illness, the master realized that the world was illusory and life was impermanent, so he had the idea of becoming a monk. After his illness, Master went to Sansheng Temple in fangshan county and shaved his hair under the old monk's seat in Rongchi.

The following year, he went to the law firm of Yun Xiu Temple and got an anklet. In the third year, Master heard that Master Long Yi of Xiangjie Temple was going to perform Jue Yuan Jing, so he went to listen to it. After class, I study day and night to explore its profound meaning, so as to understand the grand meaning of Jue Yuan Jing.
