Geographical environment of Jianchuan county

Jianchuan is located in the northwest of Yunnan Province, north of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture. East to Heqing, south to Eryuan, west to Lanping and Yunlong, and north to Lijiang. The county is 58 kilometers from east to west and 55 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of about 2,250 square kilometers. Jianchuan is located between the national historical and cultural city and the provincial tourist attractions Dali and Lijiang, and the Yunnan-Tibet Highway 2 14 runs through the county. The main rivers are Jinlong River, Haiwei River, Jiang Baishi River, Misha River and Xiangtu River. The famous dams in the county are Jinhua Dam, Shaxi Dam and Madeng Dam.
