Historical Origin of Beijing Tongrentang 1669, Le Xianyang, then an official of the Qing Palace, founded Tongrentang for the first time in Beijing, but it was not officially put into operation at the beginning. In A.D. 1723, that is, the first year of Yongzheng, Yong Zhengdi personally appointed Tong Ren Tang to supply medicinal materials to the royal family of the Qing Dynasty, which opened the precedent of Tong Ren Tang's "independent official doctor" 188 (during which Tong Ren Tang experienced eight emperors).

In 65438 AD, the Qing Dynasty, which lasted for 267 years, came to an end under the imperial edict of Xuan Tong's peaceful abdication. Beijing Tongrentang immediately began to face the public, truly embodying the medical quality of "doctors are kind and serve the people". However, due to the chaotic background of the Republic of China, it was impossible to provide a stable and peaceful environment for such industries as Beijing Tongrentang, which almost led to the collapse of Tongrentang at this stage.

After 1950s, Beijing Tongrentang began to develop steadily. For more than 300 years, it is the successive operators of Tongrentang (descendants of musicians) who keep pace with the times and abide by the rules that make Tongrentang famous at home and abroad.
