Is Jigong a Dragon Lohan?

Jigong is not a dragon-descending arhat, but a real figure in ancient history. His life is recorded in the remains and inscriptions. Li Xiuyuan, born in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, is the grandson of Li Wenhe, a captain at sea, and his legal name is Daoji, which is a high enmity in the Song Dynasty. Luo Hanlong is just a fairy in Buddhist scriptures.

Luo Hanlong is one of the eighteen arhats in Buddhism, ranking 17th, and is also a highly respected Ye Jia. He is just a fairy recorded in Buddhist scriptures, not a real historical event figure. According to Buddhist scriptures, he is a disciple of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In order to better break the marriage, he went to folk culture to help the poor, and after marriage, he became a positive result, still one of the eighteen arhats.

The figure of Jigong is recorded in Lingyin Temple Annals and Jizuta Temple Annals, except for relic inscriptions and biographies of eminent monks. He is an actual figure, while Luohan, the dragon warrior, is only a figure in Buddhist scriptures, not a historical time figure. Jigong is not a dragon-dropping arhat.
