If we say which tea area is closest to Mengku town, we have to talk about Hudong tea area, which is located in the southwest of Mengku town and only 3 kilometers away from the seat of Mengku town government.

This distance also makes Hudong tea area different from other tea areas. For example, going to other places will take some dirt roads more or less, while the roads from Hudong to the town are all cement roads. The transportation is convenient, but it is also easy to overlook this place. Even many locals directly call the tea produced here Monkou bazi tea, because it is located in the bazi area of Monkou Town, and I have to popularize the meaning of bazi here first. Generally speaking, it is convenient. Mainly distributed in mountain basins, valley coasts and hilly areas. Bashang, with flat terrain, mild climate, fertile soil and convenient irrigation, is an economic center with prosperous agriculture and dense population on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. But with the name of the tea area, the tea here is not really unknown as people think, even on the contrary, the Mangbo tea garden in Hudong tea area is very famous in history. Mangbo Village, also called Wanbo in Dai language, is located at the edge of Monkou Dam on the west bank of Nanmeng River. Now it is under the jurisdiction of Hudong Village Committee, which is also a magical dividing line. Because the dam area ends here, the mountain area begins here, where tea trees are planted and paddy fields are also planted. The residents here are mainly Dai people, but the Lahu people first planted tea here, and the Dai people later moved here to settle down. However, it can be seen from the ancient tea trees left here by Lively Wave that the Dai people in Lively Wave have been declining to plant tea trees since they moved here. There is also a large tea garden behind Lively Wave Zhaizi, called Hailong Tea Farm. The largest ancient tea tree in Lively Wave Zhaizi is here, and Hailong means "great" in Dai language. There are forests on three sides and stockades on one side. At first glance, there is an endless forest. There is a bodhi tree said to be a thousand years old in the middle of the tea farm, so the scenery and atmosphere here are very good. But the scenery we see now is not the original scenery, because in the transformation of tea garden in 1957, Mumbo Village has become a new experimental area of tea garden. At that time, the rattan tea trees in Mumbo Village were all transformed, the tea trees planted before were dwarfed, and almost all the shade trees in the tea farm were cut down, so now there is no rattan tea in Mumbo Village, and many trunks are left in the big tea garden in Hainan.

At present, the total area of tea gardens in Mangbozhai is about 400 mu, and new and old tea trees are mixed together. Although it is not as easy to see the existence of tall tea trees as other tea areas, in terms of ecological protection, because of past experience, the overall ecological atmosphere of tea trees in Mangbozhai is still good, and shade trees are planted around the tea garden, which plays a very important role in protecting tea trees. Therefore, compared with other tea areas, Mangbozhai has a good ecological atmosphere.
