In the fifteenth year of Yongle, Wudang Mountain was chartered as a mountain, ranking above the Five Mountains. This huge project took 12 years and was completed in 1423. In the thirty-first year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, another emperor who loved Taoism all his life, Ming Shizong, ordered Wudang Mountain to become the "first mysterious moon in the world" and the highest royal palace. Wudang Mountain is officially listed as the first famous Taoist mountain because of its prominent position as the "crown of five mountains", with four mountains all bowed and five mountains facing the same dynasty. In the same year, Emperor Jiajing wrote a letter to rebuild Wudang Mountain Temple and appointed Lu Jie, the right assistant minister of the Ministry of Industry, as the prefect.

The magnificent atmosphere of Wudang Mountain today is inseparable from the efforts of Emperor Chengzu and Sejong of the Ming Dynasty to build magnificent palaces. Then why does Ming Taizu worship Wudang Mountain so much?

Although Wudang Mountain is known as a famous Taoist mountain, it is Zhang Sanfeng, the founder of Wutangmen, who really makes Wudang Mountain the first famous Taoist mountain. Since the Ming Dynasty, the image of Zhang Sanfeng has been covered with a mysterious color. Zhang Sanfeng's record in Volume 299 is as follows.

Wei Qi is a turtle with big ears, round eyes and a beard like a halberd. There is only one dish to eat in summer and winter, and all the dishes have to be eaten for several days or months. You can't wear blankets or quilts in cold or hot weather. You can go without food for days or months. You can't forget anything when you read. You can walk thousands of miles a day. This image has never been explained. At least from the mid-Yuan Dynasty, Zhang Sanfeng was gradually deified among the people as a Taoist immortal beyond the secular world.

In the early years of Yongle, Hu Guang, a bachelor, came to Wudang Mountain three times to look for Zhang Sanfeng, but he didn't see him three times. In the tenth year of Yongle, in order to show respect for Zhang Zhenren, Cheng Zu recruited more than 300,000 soldiers, civilians and craftsmen from all over the world to carry out large-scale construction. The reconstruction and expansion of Wudang Mountain Temple lasted 12 years, with eight palaces, two palaces, thirty-six halls in Lu 'an and seventy-two rock temples. Wudang Mountain is highly respected by Ming Taizu because of Zhang Sanfeng's sage image and uncertain whereabouts. Taoism also reached an unprecedented peak in the Ming Dynasty.

Give Ming Yingzong "micro-transmission to show the truth"; Zong Mingming is called "Daoguang Shangzhi Xian Zhen"; Emperor Sejong of the Ming Dynasty awarded him the title of "Miao Zhenjun of Xu Qingyuan".
