First, is Buddhist fortune telling forbidden?

Answer: Fortune telling is definitely not allowed in Buddhism, especially for monks, and it is forbidden to tell others' fortune. It is said that Buddhist monks can be psychic when they reach a certain level, and they can see the past and the future, but this is completely different from the prediction of Zhouyi. This kind of prediction is spiritual and generally does not give people a prediction. Buddhists originally wanted to see everything, whether fortune-telling or self-calculation, they were obsessed.

Buddhism is quite chaotic now. Many people shave their hair and say, "benefactor, I think you look miserable recently, so you might as well hang up your divination." This is complete nonsense. Don't believe it. Monk fortune telling is a joke. Either a fake monk or an unqualified monk.

Second, whether the fortune-telling in Zhouyi belongs to Taoism.

It's a bit complicated. There were three books about Yi in ancient times: Lianshan Yi, Gui Zang Yi and Yijing. Lianshan and Guizang are said to have been lost for a long time. But now some methods of Chinese medicine and Taoism are extended from Lianshan and Guizang. Yi culture predates Taoism. To be exact, Taoism is extended from Yi culture, and Taoism explains Yi culture. As for what is Zhouyi, Zhouyi is the annotation and explanation of Zhouyi. Fortune-telling evolved from the Book of Changes, but not all.

Third: the Christian concept of fortune telling.

Christianity is theism, believing that God created the world. In fact, God exists. Depends on how you understand God. God is just a noun, an eternal law. To put it bluntly, God is the law. The laws of nature. Nature created everything. Then we can call this method God or Buddha. It doesn't matter what you call it. Christianity rejects psychics, that is, incense. Be possessed by women. That is to say, rule out those who deal with ghosts. But in any case, Christianity still rejects Zhouyi. After all, Christians don't learn Zhouyi and don't understand it.
