The uprising of "Chongqing" shattered the Kuomintang's attempt to transfer ships to cross the river and prevent the PLA from crossing the river. On March 18 and 19, he sent B-29 bombers to bomb the "Chongqing" in turn, and the officers and men on board fought back bravely.
