What do you mean by being late?

China's marriage law stipulates that women can only get married when they are 20 years old and men can only get married when they are 22 years old.

Late marriage means that the newly married men and women are married three years later according to the minimum marriage age stipulated in Article 6 of the Marriage Law, that is, men are twenty-five years old and women are married over twenty-three.

Late childbearing means that a married woman over 24 years old gives birth to her first child with the only child "Birth Certificate" or gets pregnant after late marriage. Late childbearing is conducive to the moral, intellectual and physical development of young women and to controlling the number of births and population growth. Late childbearing will delay childbearing age, lengthen the intergenerational gap and slow down population growth.
