The difference between a Taoist and a monk

Different beliefs, different practice methods, different cultural backgrounds and so on.

1, different beliefs: monks are Buddhist monks and seek liberation. Taoism believes in Taoist classics, seeks the way of nature, and the realm of unity of body and mind and harmonious coexistence with nature. They pay attention to inner cultivation and moral quality improvement, and pursue inner peace and detachment.

2. Different methods of practice: monks mainly pursue spiritual purification and inner consciousness through meditation, chanting Buddha and chanting. Taoist priests pay more attention to conditioning the body and absorbing natural aura in order to achieve a transcendental realm.

3. Different cultural backgrounds: Taoism emphasizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, and pays attention to the way of health preservation and the study and application of traditional culture. Buddhism studies and understands Buddhist scriptures, and inherits and develops Buddhist culture.
