Geographical environment of Songshan town

Songshan Town is located in the slope zone where Guizhou Plateau inclines to the south of Guangxi hills. Due to this geographical trend, the terrain of Songshan Town is high in the north, low in the east and inclined in the west. Songshan Town is located at an altitude of1150m. The locations of the 26 villages under its jurisdiction are all above sea level 1000 meters. Qinghe village is a village with an altitude of about 1500m, and Tongxin village is the lowest, with an altitude of about1000m. The highest altitude is the peak of Mazongling, which is 168 1 m, and the lowest altitude is about 1000 m at the junction of Xiaoniuchang River and Wulong River.

The climate of Songshan Town belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate, and it is the transition zone between two agricultural climate zones: the central subtropical zone and the northern subtropical zone. The town is located at high altitude and low latitude, with four distinct seasons, obvious dryness and wetness, no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer, which provides a good living environment for all kinds of animals and plants. Mineral resources mainly include limestone, clay, quartz sand and crystal ore; Limestone is distributed in Hong Guang Village, Zhongxin Village, Hongyan Village and Shitouzhai Village. Crystal mines are concentrated in Monan village. Forest area 105 1 12 mu, and forest coverage rate is 40.2%. The main trees are Pinus massoniana, Cunninghamia lanceolata, Catalpa bungeana, Toona sinensis, Platanus acerifolia, green bar, bamboo, tung tree, pepper, chestnut, pomegranate, plum, pear and peach.
