The Origin of the Name of Shankou Town in Hepu County, Guangxi

Shankou Town is located in the east of Hepu County, adjacent to Gao Qiao Town, Lianjiang County, Guangdong Province in the east, Beibu Gulf in the south, shatian town and Baisha Town in Hepu County in the west, longtan town in Bobai County in the north, 77 kilometers away from Hepu County, 95 kilometers away from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province in the east and16 kilometers away from Yulin City in the north. The whole town covers an area of 123.6 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 450 hectares. Shankou Town is an important town in the east of Hepu County, which was called Shan Ye Kou in ancient times. It is one of the military fortresses in southern Xinjiang in ancient China.
