Brief introduction of Changshou Bodhi Mountain

Bodhi Mountain is one of the eight old scenic spots in Changshou. In history, there were 1 cast iron columns made by big branches of Ming monks, the length of which exceeded 16 meters. They are inserted at the top of the mountain, with lights on them. At night, lights are everywhere, and they can be seen from far and near. The poem "Yi Deng on Bodhi Mountain" is familiar to all the people in the county.

Bodhi Mountain, the sacred mountain of longevity culture, was named after bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism, came here to preach Buddhism. The mountain is 598 meters high, and the butte stands tall in Changshou Town, and the sound of bells and drums permeates the downtown area. With a total area of about 15 square kilometers, Bodhi Mountain Scenic Area is a national 5A-level large-scale cultural tourism scenic spot, which integrates meditation, blessing, leisure and fitness, with profound Buddhist culture as the core and longevity culture as the soul. Among the scenic spots, Bodaiji, Bodhi Holy Lamp and Bodhi Ancient Town are particularly attractive.

Bodaiji-the incense of praying for a long life. Bodaiji, located at the top of Bodhi Mountain, is a thousand-year-old temple built in the early Northern Song Dynasty. Known as "Dharma Dojo, the true pulse of Zen". It has been destroyed and rebuilt for thousands of years, and it was rebuilt in June 20 14. Bordet base is located in the west to the east, covering an area of more than 60 mu, with a temple area of 4,500 square meters. All-wood ancient buildings are magnificent. Zhaimen Building, Shanmen Hall, Tianwang Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Sutra Hall and Zushi Hall are patchwork and complement each other.

Bodhi Holy Lamp-Light Circle Shou Meng. Bodhi holy lamp was built in the late Ming Dynasty, burning day and night, reflecting the distance, ranking first among the eight scenic spots of longevity. It was rebuilt in June, 20 14, followed the Buddha's rites and did not fear hardships. It went to Wan Li, the birthplace of Buddha Sakyamuni, to pay tribute to the sacred flame from Ranbi Sacred Garden in Nepal and rekindle the Bodhi lamp. The holy lamp and lighthouse are combined into one, with the seven-level pagoda as the body and the lotus petal-shaped lamp as the top. * * * is 37.5 meters high, which is the only sacred lamp landscape in China Buddhist temples and the largest Buddhist sacred lamp in the world.

Bodhi Ancient Town-Shou Yuan Guang Street. Located at the foot of Bodhi Mountain, the ancient town of Bodhi was rebuilt in recent years, covering an area of 800 mu with a total construction area of 370,000 square meters. Successfully created a national 4A-level scenic spot and became one of the top ten tourist attractions at the municipal level.
