Guizhou Fanjingshan Nature Reserve is located at the junction of Jiangkou, Yinjiang and Songtao counties in tongren city, Guizhou Province, with a total area of 4 1.900 hectares, including 25,800 hectares in the core area, 2,800 hectares in the buffer area, and 3300 hectares in the experimental area 1.200 hectares in the tourist area. The main protected objects are rare wild animals and plants and virgin forest ecosystems represented by Guizhou golden monkey and Davidia involucrata. The forest coverage rate is 90%.

Fan Jing is the main peak of Wuling Mountain, and the highest elevation of the main peak of Fenghuang Mountain is 2572 meters (the altitude of Hongyun Jinding is 2494 meters), which has obvious subtropical mountain monsoon climate characteristics. This area is a gathering place of various floristic geographical elements, with rich plant species, including ancient relict species, diverse vegetation types and obvious vertical band spectrum. It is a typical primitive vegetation preservation site in the mid-subtropical mountainous areas of western China.

There are more than 2,000 species of plants in the region, including more than 1,000 species of higher plants/kloc-0, including 2 species of Davidia involucrata. In the early Ming Dynasty, the Ming government mined cinnabar and gold mines in Fanjingshan area and sent officials to supervise them. Fan Jingshan was officially named "Fan Jingshan" because of its magical scenery and flourishing Buddhism, and became the "pure land of Brahma" that monks yearned for, while the people called it "Big Buddha Mountain".

The stele "Preface to Rebuilding Fan Jing's Jinding" is located at the foot of the old Jinding, 500 meters northeast of Jinding, with an altitude of 2270 meters. It was built in the forty-sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (A.D. 16 18). The stele is in the form of an ancient abutment, and the column cap has fallen off, but the stele-embedded stone workshop, drum-shaped foot guard and thick abutment are still intact. The forehead is engraved with the word "gift", so it is commonly known as the gift tablet. It is forbidden to cut down two mountain forest monuments, * * *, which are respectively engraved with notices signed by Lin Qing, Governor of Guizhou Province, and Li Wengeng, the provincial judge of Guizhou Province, in the 12th year of Qing Daoguang (1832). 65438+September 0985 was listed as a protected cultural relic in Guizhou Province.
