What kind of tea does Phoenix single belong to?

Fenghuang Dan Cong tea, also known as Fenghuang Shan Cong and dancong tea, belongs to oolong tea and is one of the six categories of oolong tea. It is the representative of Guangdong oolong tea and one of the four categories of oolong tea. Named after it was produced in Fenghuang Mountain in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, it was recognized as a national geographical indication product by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China in 2009.

Phoenix Dan Cong

Phoenix Dan Cong has different meanings and quality standards in different periods. In short, in the traditional model before and after the Republic of China, only Phoenix tea with fine varieties of Phoenix Narcissus was picked and made by individual plants, and the finished tea was stored and sold separately, which could be called dancong tea.

With the wide application of grafting technology in 1990s, all the daffodil teas that meet the standard of Phoenix Dan Cong (Abies) tea (DB44/T820-20 10) can be called Phoenix Dan Cong tea. Phoenix dancong tea is a semi-fermented tea, and its primary processing procedure can be divided into six steps: sun drying, air drying, green-making, water-fixing, rolling and baking.

Among them, green-making is the key process to form the quality characteristics of Dan Cong tea, which is a fermentation process consisting of repeatedly touching green (shaking green) and alternately standing. By turning green, the smell of grass in fresh leaves can be changed, and aromatic substances and the unique floral and fruity fragrance of dancong tea can be formed.

Phoenix dancong tea is known as "perfume in tea". According to the natural aroma of finished tea, dancong tea can be divided into Merilan, Huang Zhixiang (gardenia fragrance) and Zhilan fragrance. This classification and naming method is also widely used between tea producing areas and consumers.
