Where does Caoxi Park belong?
Caoxi Park is adjacent to Caoxi Road in the west, Cao Dong Branch Road in the east, Caodong No.2 Road in the north and Caodong No.3 Road in the south, covering an area of 3 1.300 square meters. The southern part of the park used to be the ancestral home of Qi Ming, a Shanghai cotton merchant before liberation, also known as Caojiayuan. Built in 193 1 and completed in 1935. The total area of the cemetery is 18800 square meters, including 8800 square meters of green space, 7800 square meters of cemetery and 2200 square meters of parking lot. There are antique glazed tile buildings, rockery in Taihu Lake, water surface, fountains and finely carved pavilions in the park. The cemetery is in the east of the garden, and there is a powder wall between it and Cao Shi's ancestral hall in the south. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, the park was occupied by the Japanese army, and the buildings, flowers and trees in the park were seriously damaged. After the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it was repaired. At one time, it was planned to open tickets, but it didn't come true. On the eve of the liberation of Shanghai, the Kuomintang troops stationed in the park, and the landscape was once again destroyed. After liberation, the park became more desolate because of long-term neglect. On May 29th, 1957, the Municipal Planning Bureau decided to change it into a park. 1958 10 was rebuilt by Shanghai Bureau of Landscape Architecture and opened to the public. It was named Caoxi Park. 1982, the garden was expanded to the east and north, forming two gardens, north and south. 1996 due to the need of municipal construction, an elevated road was built on Caoxi Road, Humin Road, and 7 mu of land was requisitioned.
Caoxi Park is a natural park in Shanghai, which is famous for its peony in the urban area. The park has beautiful scenery, small bridges and flowing water, winding paths, pavilions and waterside pavilions, simple and elegant, strange peaks and rocks can be seen everywhere, and flowers and trees are planted with the scenery. There are 70 species of trees in the park, 1590. Peony and Paeonia lactiflora are the main species in the South Garden, and osmanthus fragrans and Chimonanthus praecox are the main species in the North Garden. Plants should be planted with the scenery, such as indoor bonsai, lotus planting in the pool, Chimonanthus praecox planting on the hillside, turpentine planting on the pavilion side, bamboo pruning on the roadside, etc. There are many kinds of peony in the garden. Peony characteristic flower bed covers an area of nearly thousand square meters. There are more than 60 species and more than 600 strains of local peony and Cao Xian peony, among which five-color peony and Bai Mudan are famous. The flowers are large and pure, with compound petals, which is quite a legacy of Luoyang. The oldest person is over 120 years old and is the only one in Shanghai. In order to enrich the color of the peony garden, the artistic technique of "stars arching the moon" was adopted in the design, and various flowering shrubs such as begonia, camellia, crape myrtle, red maple, magnolia and rhododendron were used. It is arranged to meet the needs of tourists from all seasons.

Garden Pond and Hexagonal Pavilion: The garden pond is located in the west of the South Garden, and the ponds around it are stacked with Taihu stones, forming twelve peaks, which are similar to the twelve zodiac animals to watch fish, shrimp and lotus flowers, with different shapes (because the elevated Caoxi Road is incomplete). Linchi Bridge, there is a hexagonal leaning pavilion in the center of the bridge, which is a reinforced concrete structure with a glazed tile pyramid roof and leads to an octagonal turtle pavilion in the east.
Square Pavilion: The square pavilion is built on the false roof of Taihu Stone, covering an area of 40 square meters, with double eaves and heavy corners, stained glass defects and Youlong-shaped ridges.
Big rockery and Changyuan Pavilion: There is a big rockery in the northwest of the park, which is about 15 meters high and covers an area of about 2,700 square meters. The cave is winding and deep. The Changyuan Pavilion on the top of the fake mountain is 5 meters high, with reinforced concrete structure, colored glazed tile pyramid roof and upturned corner. There are stone benches and stone backrests on all sides of the pavilion, and a square stone platform is set in the middle. When you climb the pavilion, you can see a panoramic view of the whole park. There is a three-bend flat stone bridge to the south of the big rockery. There is a small pool under the bridge, shaped like an ingot, and fish swim around in the middle of the pool. There are mosquitoes and moths, Cinnamomum camphora, Ligustrum lucidum, cypress, camellia, osmanthus fragrans and boxwood seeds planted around the rockery, and it is surrounded by thick green.
Triangle Shouxing Pavilion and Octagonal Turtle Pavilion: The triangle Shouxing Pavilion in the north of the gate is 10 meter long on three sides, reinforced concrete structure, covered with yellow flat glazed tile, pyramid-shaped roof with a red round stone ball on the top. The octagonal turtle pavilion is located on the east side of the garden pool, with reinforced concrete structure, glazed tile pyramid roof and octagonal upturned. There is a huge granite turtle in the center of the pavilion, which is realistic in shape.
Peony Garden: The southeast of Peony Garden covers an area of about 744 square meters, and there is a plum flower bed with an area of 18 square meters in the east. There are more than 0/00 peony/kloc-in the altar, of which one peony/kloc-has been grafted for more than 20 years, and the flowering period is more than one month, with more than 100 flowers. A century-old crape myrtle on the east side of the flower bed is about 3 meters high, with lush foliage and vigorous posture. To the west of the Peony Garden is a group of flower beds, and three large flower beds are arranged from north to south. The north is rectangular, the middle is oval and the south is round. The flower beds are surrounded by flat iron railings. There are many kinds of peony planted in the altar, including begonia, camellia, Michelia, Lagerstroemia indica, dark plum, grouper, goldfinch, red maple, Podocarpus, heather and so on. All flower beds have stone peaks in Taihu Lake. One of them has a base height of 1.3m and a peak height of 3m. From a fixed point of view, it looks like a statue of Venus.
Corridor: There is a corridor in the middle of the Peony Garden, which is 54 meters long and has a mixed structure and a flat roof. The eaves around the roof are covered with chrysanthemum tiles. On the east side of the corridor is a leaky wall with lattice windows of various shapes, and there are stone benches between columns on the west side for tourists to rest.
