When copying the net, you should choose a long handle with a large net opening. The length of the handle for copying the net is preferably more than 3 meters. Remember not to copy the net with a short handle. Because the water surface of the lotus pond is complex and there are many obstacles, try to put the fish in the net near the fishing point to avoid being blocked by obstacles. Check the integrity of the net before fishing, assemble the net before fishing and put it in a place where it is easy to take.

Third, choose fishing spots on the spot

Because the environment of the lotus pond is complex, we should pay special attention to the choice of fishing position and apply some tips. For example, don't choose to hook the lotus leaf in a small gap, because the lotus leaf is dense. If you fish in these gaps, once the carp bites the hook, the fishing line will easily kink on the lotus stalk during the struggle. If the fish rises to the surface of the water too early, the carp will struggle vigorously after seeing the light and figures, and will probably run away from the fish. When walking the fish, it is not advisable to hold the rod by force, and the arm holding the rod only needs to tighten the carp. You can't follow the fish when you walk, but lead it to the water's edge, so that you can reach the net-copying range.

Five, escape prevention skills

Fishing in the lotus pond often encounters such a situation. The fish was close at hand, but there was an accident when lifting the pole or copying the fish at last, which led to the fish running away. For anglers, we must not be careless, especially in the last stage. Carps still have great jumping power when they enter the net, and they may jump into the water to escape if they are not careful. Hoist the carp together with the fishing net to a safe place far away from the pond bank, then remove the hook and bring the carp into the fish protection range.

Sixth, the accurate positioning of the bait.

There are two kinds of bait for catching big carp in autumn, one is lure, the other is fishing, each has its own function and usage.

One is bait (also called nest material). In fishing spots where a large number of small miscellaneous fish make nests, large granular feed or "rice bait" is used as bait, or tender jade particles and wine jars are used as nests to form bait nests. The bait nest is triangular within 1 m2. The bottom bait does not need to be too fine, so it is not advisable to hit too much at a time.

The second is bait. Usually there are two kinds of bait for catching big carp in autumn: meat bait and commercial bait. Baits used for carp fishing in autumn include pond mussel meat, red earthworm, fragrant rice and bran cake bait (available in fishing gear shops). It is very effective to use commercial powder as bait for fish. However, we must remember the fishing proverb that "one side is water and the other side is fish".
