Panicle terminal, 4 ~ 20 cm long; The flower diameter is 2.5 ~ 3 cm; Calyx 6-lobed, lobes ovate, smooth outside; Petals 6, red or pink, with irregular notches at the edge and long claws at the base; Stamens 36 ~ 42, outer 6 filaments longer; Ovary 6-loculed. The capsule is oval and spherical, 9 ~ 13mm long and 8 ~1mm wide, with 6 petals. Seeds have wings. The flowering period is from June to September, and the fruiting period is from July to September. The older the trunk, the brighter it gets. When touched by hand, the whole plant will tremble slightly, so it is also called Jinger tree and pruritus tree.
