The historical origin of unicorn lion elephant dance

As an ancient folk culture of the Han nationality, the unicorn lion elephant dance began on the opening day of "Rixing City", a new fair on June 24th in the 18th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (A.D. 1679), and has a history of more than 300 years. "Kirin, lion and elephant", that is, the comprehensive performance of Kirin, lion and elephant, requires two people to dance at the beginning and end. The content of the performance is a legend that after a long period of drought and water shortage, lions and elephants found water at the same time, and they were evenly matched. Kirin saw the mediation, and finally everyone reached an agreement, shook hands and enjoyed the water.
