What kinds of osmanthus are there?

There are four varieties of osmanthus fragrans, including Chiwei, Yin Wei and Cuiwei.

Osmanthus fragrans, purplish red, oval, terminal panicle, flowering from June to September. Lagerstroemia indica likes warm and humid climate and fertile sandy soil, which has the functions of anti-pollution and absorbing harmful substances.

Chiwei

Red tail, as its name implies, is red in color, sunny, warm in climate, fertile in soil and excellent in drainage. Its flowers grow slowly, but they are gorgeous and ornamental. Yin Wei

Yin Wei, with white flowers, blooms on new branches, which are spikes with wavy edges. Yin Wei likes semi-cloudy environment and needs fertile and moist soil. Yin Wei has twisted trunk, smooth bark and simple overall, which can be used for garden viewing and bonsai making.

Cuiwei has lavender flowers and dark green leaves. Their growth likes warm climate, and they are drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging. Micro-trunk light brown, thin bark, smooth branches, mostly used for garden appreciation.
