What does the Forbidden City mean?

The Forbidden City belongs to the inner city. It is the imperial palace of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and once lived 24 emperors. Its name comes from Wei Zixing Yuan. Ancient astronomers in China divided the stars into three constellations, twenty-eight constellations and other constellations. The three walls are Taiwei Garden, Ziwei Garden and Tianshi Garden. Ziweiyuan is in the center of ternary star, so it is the constellation representing the celestial emperor. Heaven is supreme, and the emperor on earth is supreme. That's what the so-called "sitting among the peaceful emperors" means. Before the Revolution of 1911, the Forbidden City was heavily guarded, and ordinary people were absolutely not allowed to enter, which is why it was called the Forbidden City.
