In 2022, under the starry sky, we read all the leads just to present a different history.

As we all know, it has a history of two thousand years in China. As the master of the world, the emperor took great pains to show his supremacy. He not only preached the so-called "monarchical power" and "being ordered by heaven" everywhere, but also constantly deified his origin. For example, Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang was the son of Chi Di, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin and Song Huizong, the immortal emperor of Antarctica.

However, the people of China are not so easy to fool. If the emperor wants to say that he is descended from the world, he has to produce evidence to prove that what he said is true. Emperors can't do things like enclaves, so scholars began to invent a so-called "phase of emperors" theory. According to this statement, there are usually some unusual signs or astronomical phenomena at birth, and if not, there will be some special appearance characteristics in adulthood.

For example, Xiao Daocheng, the emperor of the Southern Dynasties, recorded in the Book of Southern Qi that his "posture is different from that of Britain, and the dragon bell rings and scales all over his body", that is to say, his neck is like a dragon neck, his voice is like a Hong Zhong, and he is wearing a dragon forest pattern; As for Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, the book records that he has "the posture of dragon and phoenix, the posture of the sun and the moon". Zhao Kuangyin, the great ancestor of Song Like, recorded in The History of Song Dynasty that when he was born, he "walked around the house naked and stayed in gold for three days".

In historical records, emperors have a very frequent appearance feature, which is called "hands over knees". The word originated from The Book of Songs, which is officially called "hanging one's hands over one's knees" or "putting one's arms over one's knees", but its specific meaning is still inconclusive. People guess that it is probably someone's arm specialty, which can reach or exceed the knee when naturally drooping. It is rare for modern people to put their hands on their knees, but they can be seen in chimpanzees, gibbons and other apes.

However, in the history books, this physical feature is a typical "phase of emperors", which appears frequently. Throughout the twenty-four histories, nine films have the appearance of the emperor's hands hanging down his knees. The History of the Three Kingdoms records that Liu Bei, Emperor Zhaolie of the Han Dynasty, knelt on the ground with his hands; The Book of Jin records that Sima Yan, Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty, knelt on the ground with his hands; Mu Rongchui, Emperor Hou Yan, knelt on the ground with his hands; and Fu Jian, Emperor of the former Qin Dynasty, knelt on the ground with his hands. In addition, the former Zhao emperor Liu Yao and later Xiang also have this feature. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there were some, Chen's and Chen's, and Zhou Wendi's.

Of these nine people, eight succeeded in becoming emperors, and only Yao Xiang, the last king of Qin, finally failed to become emperors. Although Yao Xiang is unknown to the world, he is highly praised in history books. The Book of Jin called him "a martial arts master, eager to learn and knowledgeable", and Sima Guang praised him as "heroic and talented, both civil and military, with the wind of Sun Ce". Yao Xiang, the fifth son of Yao in the late Qin Dynasty, was proficient in civil and military affairs, resourceful and courageous, and was very sympathetic and concerned about people's livelihood. He is deeply supported by the minister and the people.

People who have been emperors since ancient times are kings as long as they have both ability and political integrity and win the hearts of the people. Obviously, Yao Xiang meets these standards. According to the Book of Jin, Yao Xiang was deeply loved by the people. The latter signed a people's book asking the emperor to establish a Chu army in Yaoxiang. Although it failed in the end, it shows its high prestige. In that war-torn era, people were often displaced, but as soon as they found Yao Xiang's marching station, they would immediately rush to defect. This is the historical record that "everyone knows where the item is, needs to help the old and bring the young, but has to rush over." After his death, "Xiunv looked at the north and shed tears. What a shame."

▲ Restore ancient war scenes

In a battle, Yao Xiang played against Deng Qiang, a famous chess player in the former Qin Dynasty. Deng Qiang knew that he could not defeat Yao Xiang head-on, so he thought of a plan. He laid an ambush in advance and then sent troops to challenge Yao Xiang. After Yao Xiang went to war, Deng Qiang pretended to retreat, led him into an ambush, and then destroyed him. Originally, Yao Xiang was brave and good at fighting, and he could escape, but the despicable Deng Qiang let Yao Xiang go up the mountain with a trip rope at the critical moment. Fall, Yao Xiang fell and died on the spot. It's really embarrassing that the road of a generation of famous emperors came to an abrupt end.
