It can be called a new era of Yunnan University. On this memorable day, Xiong Qinglai's passion in his heart is hard to stop. He used his profound knowledge of ancient Chinese to write a school song for his beloved Yunnan University.

This school song has great spirit, lofty artistic conception and solemn style. Starting from the topography and climate of Kunming and ending with the mission of the National Dayun, it is full of youthful vigor and the pride of Yunnan students. The school song pours Xiong Qinglai's love and hope for Dayun, and embodies his school-running thoughts of "seeking novelty" and "seeking truth".

This school song was written by Zhao Yuanren, a famous linguist, philosopher and composer in China who moved to Kunming with the Institute of History and Linguistics of Academia Sinica. Since then, this school song written by Xiong Qinglai himself has been sung on the campus of Dayun University.
