At present, most self-sealing floor drains on the market are mechanical self-sealing floor drains. Due to the limitation of the current technology, this product is prone to various failures, which will inevitably lead to poor sealing and odor of the floor drain.

4. The spread of bacteria leads to

Due to environmental pollution and bacterial spread, the floor drain stinks. The sewer pipe is dark and humid for a long time, and it is a pipe for discharging sewage. Naturally, it is easy to breed a large number of germs. Over time, the water seal could not be sealed, and finally spread indoors, posing a great threat to the health of family members.

Treatment of floor drain odor:

1. Replace the floor drain

Although self-sealing floor drain is the inevitable trend of future floor drain development, its deodorization effect is not as stable as water-sealed floor drain, so try to choose water-sealed floor drain.

2. Keep the water in the floor drain changed in time.

Fill the floor drain with water in time, keep the water seal in the floor drain and replace it frequently.

Step 3 cover the floor drain

The floor drain can be covered with a wet towel or a plastic bag filled with waste gas to prevent the smell and germs of the floor drain from spreading indoors. Or you can find a better plastic bag, fill it with water, fasten it, put it on the floor drain, take it away when you use it, and plug it when you don't use it. You can also buy a rubber plug from the hardware store and plug it in when not in use.

4. Always clean the floor drain and use deodorant.

Cleaning the floor drain regularly and putting some tea bags, incense and bamboo charcoal in the bathroom can also effectively remove the odor.
