Chemical components include sitosterol and 3,3', 4- trimethyl gallic acid.

Indications-Lagerstroemia root is used to treat carbuncle, sore, toothache and dysentery. Collection of common folk herbs: promoting blood circulation. It is advisable for pregnant women to avoid it.

Prescription ① Treatment of carbuncle, furuncle on head and face, and sores on hands and feet: Grind the roots or flowers of Lagerstroemia indica and mix them with vinegar. It can also be decocted. ② Treatment of toothache: Wei Zigen cooked refined pork. ③ Treatment of white dysentery: Wei Zigen decoction.
