Journey to the West: Why did the Monkey King have a headache when Tang Priest recited a mantra?

Anyone who has seen Journey to the West knows that Tang Priest learned Buddhist scriptures in the West, and the Monkey King and other disciples protected him.

In order to prevent the Monkey King from disobeying orders, Guanyin Bodhisattva specially put a diamond ring on him and put a spell on him.

So whenever the Monkey King is in trouble, Tang Priest starts chanting, which gives the Monkey King a headache.

So, why did the Monkey King have a headache when Tang Priest recited the mantra? That is to say, why can the content of the hoops make the Monkey King have a headache?

As we know, The Journey to the West is a novel telling Buddhist stories, and the whole book revolves around Buddhist stories. The so-called scriptures refer to both Buddhist scriptures and true scriptures. So the whole story is related to Buddhist scriptures and Buddhism, and even the names and places are actually related to the concept of Buddhism.

Therefore, when Tang Priest chants a mantra, the Monkey King will have a headache, which is actually related to three aspects: tightening the spell and harmony, emptiness and headache.

In other words, it is these three contents that will give the Monkey King a headache. How to understand them?

1. What is the hoop spell?

Anyone who has seen the Journey to the West knows that the hooping spell is a spell handed down by Guanyin to Tang Priest, and there are only six words, which are specially read for the Monkey King, that is to say, Guanyin Bodhisattva is a spell dedicated to the Monkey King (the diamond ring on his head is the carrier of this spell).

So this spell only works for people like the Monkey King, but not for others.

So we searched the mantra of Guanyin Bodhisattva and found that the mantra of hula hoop is actually a six-character mantra, that is, "Eh? Bamiyan ". In Sanskrit of ancient India, this mantra contains the endless blessings and compassion of the Buddhas, and it is also the voice reproduction of the compassion and wisdom of the Buddhas. Therefore, the content expressed by this spell is extremely rich, and it can even be said that this spell contains great strength, wisdom and compassion in the universe.

Guanyin Bodhisattva passed this mantra on to Tang Priest, which actually conveyed the subtle essence of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In other words, when Tang Priest recited this mantra, he actually recited the subtle essence of Guanyin Bodhisattva, and this emblem has incredible merits and benefits.

But for the Monkey King, this spell is another matter, which is to disturb the emptiness that the Monkey King realized.

Second, the emptiness realized by the Monkey King.

In the Journey to the West, the Monkey King is a disciple of Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King, Bodhi King.

That is to say, for the Monkey King, the state he has reached has been able to break through all troubles and obstacles, and because of this, he can have seventy-two reincarnation, and he can turn a somersault and dig out hundreds of thousands of miles, because he has understood the essence of everything, that is emptiness. In other words, people who have achieved this state will no longer be bound by everything in the world, and of course there will be no troubles and obstacles for all beings in our world, that is, they will free themselves from the suffering in the world.

Therefore, bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi bodhi.

Third, headache and bitterness.

The Monkey King in The Journey to the West will have a headache after being recited by Tang Priest.

The essence of this headache is not a real headache, but a bitter and troublesome pain.

Buddhist terminology calls it "Arhat Retreat" because the Monkey King's proof of Wukong is actually the realization of Arhat Grosvenor's position, which is much lower than that of Bodhisattva. And this fruit position, after being polluted, will still turn back, that is, it will enter the pure land and retreat the dust.

In other words, the spell read by Tang Priest is likely to make the Monkey King return to his normal state. Therefore, what makes him headache is only suffering.

Therefore, the Monkey King's headache is not what we usually call a headache, but a kind of degeneration, that is to say, for the Monkey King, the so-called headache is actually a kind of degeneration, degenerating into ordinary pain.

So when we saw the Tang Priest chanting a spell, the Monkey King got a headache. That's why.
