The transformation planning of Greentown Plaza is based on the principle of cross-century and high starting point. Through creative planning, design and construction, a Greentown Plaza with unique cultural characteristics of the Central Plains, strong sense of the times and openness, perfect service functions, reasonable spatial layout and beautiful landscape environment has been created. The transformed Greentown Plaza retains the original north-south axis, and the original five musical fountains and pools rotate 90 degrees to form the east-west axis of the plaza, which enhances the sense of stability of the plaza with the vertical axis relationship. In the expanded East District, a sunken "Stone Square" corresponding to the original music fountain "Water Square" in the West District has been formed. The vertical contrast between the height of the water square and the low formation space of the stone square, and the virtual contrast between the virtual formation space of the water square and the real formation space of the stone square enrich the spatial change of the square and enhance its attraction.

The transformed Greentown Square has broken the traditional square mode, manifested openness, widened the entrance, and narrowed the distance between the city and the square with a large area of square hardening, allowing people to participate more in square activities and urban life.

After the transformation, Greentown Plaza has strengthened its functional division, and it is divided into eight plots, namely, the assembly activity area, the central cultural and entertainment area and the garden viewing area. Meet the needs of different functions and fully reflect the diversity and comprehensiveness of square culture, rest and assembly.

The greening of the square should be combined with "point", "line", "surface", "Joe", "irrigation" and "grass" to enlarge the greening area as much as possible and reflect the theme and artistic conception of Greentown Square. Regular plants with neat planting and strong sense of sequence and irregular plants with natural interest not only pay attention to viewing, but also take care of the needs of citizens' activities. Square pigeons live in Greentown Square, adding a new landscape to Zhengzhou, the provincial capital.
