Jin Dian Park is located on Mingfeng Mountain, about 7 kilometers east of Kunming. Because the Hall of the Great Hero is made of brass, it shines brightly under the sunshine, reflecting the golden light of green valleys and secluded forests, so it is named "Golden Hall", also known as Tongwa Temple.

The famous Golden Temple is a part of the Taoist Taihe Palace. It was built in the 30th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (1602) and rebuilt in the 10th year of Kangxi (167 1) by the then King Wu Sangui. It has a long history. Jindian is a square building with double eaves and imitation of wooden structure. It is 6.7 meters high, 6.2 meters wide and 6.2 meters deep, with a total weight of 250 tons. It is the largest pure copper building in China. Inside the main hall, the arch of beams and columns, the roof of doors and windows, the confession, the curtain, the statue of Zhenwu the Great, the plaque in the hall and the couplets are all made of copper. The statue of Zhenwu Emperor in the temple is finely carved, magnificent and solemn. With a sword beside him, General Fire and Water stood on both sides. They are powerful in image and brave in character. Their armor and clothes are exquisitely carved and cast.

There is a big plaque on the gate of the Hall of Supreme Harmony in Jin Dian Park. There are four words written on the plaque: "parrot is deep in spring", which means that spring is full all year round. The gate of the temple is called "Yiling Gate", and there are couplets on both sides of the gate to praise the scenery and Taoist thought here. Jin Dian is not only one of the four bronze halls in China, but also the heaviest and most well-preserved bronze hall in China.

In addition to the Golden Temple, there are walls, gates and battlements, and there are buildings on the city. Behind the temple, there is also a camellia and two crape myrtle, which are said to have been planted in the Ming Dynasty. Taihe Palace also has a seven-star sword weighing 20kg, which is a magic weapon to subdue demons in Zhenshan, and a broadsword with wooden handle weighing12kg, which is said to be a combat knife used by Wu Sangui.

Jindian Scenic Area has beautiful natural scenery. The path goes through the forest, the trees cover the sky, and the sun shines through the gaps between the leaves, mottling the ground. The road is quiet, with occasional birds singing, which has won the essence of Taoist culture. Purple gas comes from the east, foggy and beautiful, which complements the hundred acres of camellia in the "Golden Hall Expo Park" in the scenic area and sets off the crimson sky.
