The Historical Evolution of Laoshe Park

The garden site was originally a natural ravine from Guanhaishan to Qingdao Bay, which was high in the north and low in the south. The north used to be a village of hundreds of families, and the village name was "Dacun". The green space built during the German occupation of Qingdao is called Tielihuazi Street Garden, which is one of the early parks in Qingdao, covering an area of about 8,000 square meters. During the first Japanese occupation, it was renamed "Omura Park". During the rule of Beiyang government, it was renamed as the "Sixth Park". Because roses are everywhere and flowers are flourishing, people call them "big flower ditch". In the 1930s and 1940s, the flat land full of ditches became a garbage dump, which was the same as the road surface before 1945. Platanus acerifolia, ginkgo biloba, cypress and flowering shrubs were planted, and it was simply restored into a park. It was abandoned before the founding of the people's Republic of China.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, individual plant varieties were adjusted and cedar, cherry blossom, crape myrtle and other flowers and trees were planted. Build a large-scale rose flower bed and plant a large-leaf boxwood fence around it. Update the swings, slides and bunkers in the children's activity area and call them Anhui Road Garden.

During the Cultural Revolution, green space was destroyed. In the 1970s, the southern part of the park became a gathering place for philatelists, with stalls selling ancient coins. By the mid-1980s, under the sycamore trees and in the cedar forest, it had become a place for the elderly to play poker and chess. In the early 1990 s, the crowd of real estate transactions occupied half of the garden; In the middle period, it became a spontaneous farmer's market, with stalls selling vegetables, small department stores and fried dough sticks selling snacks occupying the whole garden and roadside. Trample on the green space, dump sewage indiscriminately, and park out of control. Afterwards, Shinan District Government organized forces to clean up, rectify and restore the park.

1999, Shinan district government invested/kloc-0 10000000 yuan for renovation. Due to the complex geographical location, there are bus departure stations, hospitals, schools, kindergartens, restaurants and snack bars facing the street and a large number of residential buildings, with heavy traffic and crowded people. According to the current environment, it was designed by Mase Architects Co., Ltd. as a tree-lined waterscape and human landscape park. Shinan District Urban Construction Management Committee organized the construction. In the same year, it was opened to the public and named "Laoshe Park".
