Ji 'an Wei Zi Palace Wei Zi Palace

(1) The former Wei Zi Palace is located in Laoling Village, Taishang Town, Ji 'an City. The local residents call it the Temple for the Aged or Guandi Temple. Completed in 1907 (the third year of Guangxu), the hall is magnificent. At that time, people called Wei Zi Palace the first temple in Northeast China, with three halls connected by a three-inch thick and four-meter wide Korean pine trestle. There are two mud horses in the hall in front of the horse, one is red and the other is white. One of the horses is two meters high, more than ten feet long and has a thick waist. It stands tall and magnificent. Legend: One day, a farmer's wheat seedlings were eaten up by livestock overnight, and the farmer was furious. They decided to track the grazing livestock. They saw the footprints of the bowl in the field and followed them to the temple. They saw wheat and rice in the mouth of the horse in the temple. Out of reverence for the gods, the farmers stopped pursuing this matter. The middle hall is an ancient master hall, which contains statues of Gong, Guan Ping, Zhou Chang, Zhao Lei and Yuan Pu. On the left, there is a fragrant altar hall, and there are three mountain temples beside the inner road, with a statue of "Twenty-eight Nights". Nine east wing rooms are exquisite houses and kitchens; The back hall is the Empress Hall, where there are statues of "Three Nights Girl", "Lingxiao Girl", "Xiao Qiong Girl", "Songzi Niangniang" and "Shadou Niangniang", and statues of "Si Bu" and "Houba Master" stand on both sides of the store door. There are two kitchens in a second, one is vegetarian and the other is meat. (2) There are seven old people in the temple, including Zheng, Liu, Cai and Sun. There are more than a dozen long-term workers in the temple. Hu is a housekeeper, responsible for cultivating Jiudaogou 180 mu of land and managing more than 200 ginseng. In addition, there are more than 1,000 mu of cultivated land in Liuhe and Siping, with an annual rent of more than 300 tons. In addition, there are more than 20 Shandong bachelors working in the local area. In winter, they go to the temple to collect firewood, clear the snow on the ridge and do odd jobs. The temple doesn't charge money or accommodation.

Because of the inconvenient transportation at that time, merchants in Tonghua and Baishan, who sell grain and mountain products, have to go to Waichagou (Waterway Wharf) via this ridge and take a boat to Anton and Yingkou to do business. Because there were no motor vehicles among the people, the means of transportation at that time were carriages. Anyone who passes through this hurdle will burn incense and pray in the temple to ensure a safe journey. Although the mountain slope is steep and steep, there has never been a car accident. Especially the temple fair is held on April 18 every year, which is very lively. Ring the bell before the temple fair begins. The bell is as thick as two arms and high in head, and the magnificent bell can spread three miles away. Hundreds of miles away, people from Fiona Fang gathered in the temple, including big cars and cars. It can be said that business all over the world is booming.

(3) In the fourth year of the pseudo-Kant (1937), the Japanese gendarmerie stationed in Waichagou heard that the old temple was a liaison station between the anti-Japanese Coalition forces and the local people. A dozen Japanese soldiers and an interpreter took three cars to Xinkaihe bandit area (Japanese called anti-Japanese allied bandits) and set fire to the temple when they arrived in Leling. The commentator said that the temple was superstitious and could not be burned. On the way back, I got on the bus at Tongtianling and fell down. Except for the translator, the rest of the Japanese soldiers were either dead or injured. Later, the Japanese built a monument on the back hill of Waichagou, which was stripped by the rebels during the Cultural Revolution.

Zheng's old road was burned in the temple and he sat cross-legged and died. After his death, he was buried in a coffin on the hillside behind the temple. The fake Kant was burned by the Japanese for four years. There are only some architectural stones, mud, residual tiles and other relics in the temple site, and the original site has become cultivated land.

It is planned to build Wei Zi Palace in Ji 'an, covering an area of 8,400 square meters and a building area of 5,730 square meters. After its completion, Wei Zi Palace is resplendent and magnificent, making it the largest temple in Northeast China. It will provide a fixed activity place for Taoist believers and become a new tourist attraction in Ji 'an.
