Constellation name. The seventh house of the zodiac. Located at right ascension 15: 10 and declination minus 14 degrees, it is equivalent to the Pleiades in China. In western astrology, September 23rd to1October 22nd is regarded as the dominant life palace.

The stars in Libra have been recognized since ancient times, but Ptolemy did not regard them as independent constellations. In Ptolemy constellation, the star of Libra belongs to Scorpio's claw, Libra α is Scorpio's north claw, Libra β is Scorpio's south claw.

It was not until Caesar's time in the 1 th century that the Romans discovered that the sun moved to this constellation around the autumnal equinox, so they drew it independently.
