The Buddhist Holy Land of Puguang Temple

The first monk who came to Antaiyang Mountain in Xi 'an was Zen Master Miao Yin, the founder of the Western Jin Dynasty. He built Puguang Temple at the southern foot of Sun Mountain, opened Dojo, recruited disciples, taught Buddhism, burned incense and practiced, and gained great fame. Zen master Miao Yin is good at reindeer. He built a deer park next to the temple, and often white deer enter and leave the mountain gate by themselves. People call him "Bailuyuan Zen Master" and Puguang Temple "Bailuyuan Temple". Huineng lived in seclusion here for three years. Later, a Cao Dongzong monk named Liangshan Yuanguan came to Sun Mountain and settled down in Xi. He called himself "Liangshan old man" and left a sentence: "The songs sung by Liangshan old man have a strange style, but it is difficult to reconcile people."

Later, Master Yuan, a monk of Lin Jizong, came to Sun Mountain to preside over Buddhism. He is proficient in Zen, leaving behind a book called Ode to Ten Cows, which depicts the process of herding cattle with ten pictures, and has explained the method and order of practice from finding cows and finding hearts to sitting home. Ten bulls have a great influence in Zen forest. It is not only popular in China, but also widely circulated in South Korea, Japan and Thailand, and is valued and praised by foreign Buddhists. In addition to Puguang Temple, the famous temples in Sun Mountain also include the Zushi Temple, which was built on the top of the mountain. Clouds often float out of temples. People can predict the weather by its shape, shadow and trend, which is very effective. There is also Lingquan Temple, built at the northern foot of Sun Mountain. There is a clear spring in the temple, often called "Longquan". This spring is cool and sweet. Drinking a bowl can make people feel refreshed.

In order to carry forward the Buddhist culture and develop the tourism resources of Sun Mountain, Master Dan Ling, who has traveled all over the country and foreign Buddhist holy places, decided to stay in the tin mine of Sun Mountain, raise huge sums of money to build a modern Buddhist garden in Sun Mountain, rebuild the Puguang Temple of Sun Mountain with high standards, high starting point and high technology, and reproduce the former style of Puguang Temple. Needless to say, with the reconstruction of Puguang Temple and the development of Sun Mountain attractions one by one, the future of Sun Mountain will be better, more beautiful and more attractive.
