How can we understand the Book of Changes?

The way to understand the Book of Changes is as follows:

(1) Learn the history of the Yi people first, trace back to the source, and have a basic grasp of the development of the Yi people.

As I said before, I attach great importance to the origin of a subject. A theory has been blown away, and I won't learn it without knowing the ins and outs. People have visited many "masters", and almost all of them are engaged in divination sideline.

Confucius said: Don't take it. I think these people have deviated from the way of saints and can't learn. More importantly, when they were asked about the origin of Yi-ology, they all answered with "three ancient and three saints", mixed with the legend of "tortoise and white horse". As an atheist, I can't accept this world view.

(2) the integration of classics and inheritance, collateral and others.

The Book of Changes consists of The Book of Changes and Biography, with a difference of several hundred years. Some people find that even if obscure classics are put aside, a biography alone is a complete philosophy book.

Others think that Zhuan Xu is purely a Confucian who forced his thoughts into the scene. If you want to understand the pure classics, you must put the biography aside again, otherwise you will fall into the door of corrupting Confucianism.

(3) Images and words are integrated into one, and images serve justice.

Some mystics have reversed this point. It doesn't matter whether it's reasonable or not. The important thing is that images can be used for divination, and divination can make money. With this kind of master, you can learn a trade to make a living, but I'm afraid it's hard to "read Ming Dow" in this realm. Xunzi said: those who are good and easy do not anticipate.

It is true that the Book of Changes originated from divination. However, since Jiang Ziya broke Zhou Wuwang's tortoise shell, he won the battle for Chao Ge. This incident had a vital impact on Zhou people's outlook on fate. Zhou not only replaced the country of Shang, but also changed the belief at that time.
