Everything has a close relationship with number, not only the relationship between number and quantity, but also the relationship between quality; The regularity of the development and change of things is closely related to "number", or embodied in the determination of "number". "Number", like time and space, is a form of things. The relationship between things and numbers studied in Yi-ology is different from numbers in our daily life and numbers studied in modern mathematics. The latter refers to "managing numbers", "the principle of nature" and the so-called "managing only numbers". Therefore, the ancient theories of divination, six benevolence, strange gate, astrology, astrology and geomantic omen are all called "Shu mathematics".

Image number is the two most important fields in Yi-ology, and the school that studies image number and its relationship in history is called "Image Mathematics School". The relationship between them has been discussed for a long time. In Zuo Zhuan Xi Gong Fifteen Years, Han Jian said: "Counting is also life, then there is an image, then there is a child, and then there is a number." Confucius, a Yi-ology scholar in the Tang Dynasty, explained: "The purpose of divination is to tell people by the number of yin and yang. Everything that flies away is born and then takes shape; Not only the image, but also many; There are many things before you count the number of people. Elephants are born and then have numbers. This is because elephants. If the hexagrams are easy, they are born of factors, so they are born of numbers. " It can be seen from here that the relationship between "image" and "number" is: there are objects first, then there are numbers, and there are divinatory images from the numbers; Zhan Duan infers specific objects by divination and numbers. What needs to be explained here is that "image" and "number" are actually produced at the same time and cannot be separated. Where there is an image, there must be a number, and there must be an image. Just like Yin and Yang, they are all born from Tai Chi, but in no particular order. You can know Yang by observing Yin, and you can also know Yin by observing Yang.

(1) Number of "roads"

Laozi, a philosopher of the Warring States period, once said, "The Tao gives birth to one, two, three and everything." This sentence seems simple, but it contains profound philosophical sayings and summarizes the process of the emergence and development of the universe. The same is true of numbers that are easy to learn, from scratch, from 0 to 1, from 1 to 2, and from 2 to 3. That is to say, the infinite gives birth to Tai Chi, and Tai Chi gives birth to "1", which is composed of one or two yin and yang, and is the gossip of three paintings and so on. Specifically, the universe is a big pole, DNA is an Artest pool, and the smallest morphological field of life is also a big pole ... They both gave birth to two kinds of musical instruments and further developed them to produce many. The Book of Changes says: "It is easy to have Tai Chi, and it is to give birth to two instruments, two instruments give birth to four elephants, and four elephants give birth to gossip." This sentence is completely consistent with what Laozi said when expressing its philosophical significance.

(2) The number of heaven and earth

The Book of Changes says: "Heaven, earth and two; Tian San, Di Si; Heaven five, earth six; Bati Tianqi; Nine days and ten places. Five days, five digits, and five are integrated. Where the number of heaven and earth is fifty, there are five. This is why it has become a change and a ghost. " The number of jade within ten is mysterious, including five odd numbers:13579; Five even numbers: 24680. Odd numbers are yang and days; Even numbers are yin and ground numbers. Days added:1+3+5+7+9 = 25; Plus quota: 2+4+6+8+10 = 30; Plus the number of heaven and earth: 25+30=55. The ancients reflected the connection between heaven and earth through the odd-even opposition of these numbers. It is also said that when Dayu was harnessing the water, a turtle came out of Luohe with a tattoo on its back, which was called "Luo Shu". Luo Shu takes the image of a turtle, and its annotations are: wearing nine shoes, one left, three right, seven left, two four shoulders, and six or eight feet. Nine digits and nine numbers are the ninth house. Corresponding to the gossip of the day after tomorrow, the specific correspondence is: Kanyi is water, Kunyi is earth, Zhensan is wood, Xunsi is wood, Zhongwu is earth, Liu Gan is gold, Duiqi is gold, Genba is earth, and Li Jiu is fire. Its corresponding heavenly stems and five elements are: Renshuiyi, Dinghuo II, Jiamu III, Xinjinsi, Wuji Tuwu, Guishuiliu, Huhuo VII, Mu Yi VIII and Geng Jin Jiu. Zheng Xuan, a Yi-ology scholar in the Eastern Han Dynasty, said in his annotation Cohesion: "Water is born in the north of heaven, fire is made in the south, trees are born in the east, gold is born in the west, and earth is born in the sky." The classical divination method is to use grass to calculate the divination image, that is, to use the four numbers "6789". These four numbers correspond to "four images", six are old yin, seven are shaoyang, eight are shaoyin and nine are Lao Yang. "Yi Gan Wei Zhi Du" said: "Yi Yi Yin Yang is known as the fifteenth way. Yang is nine out of seven, Yin is six out of eight, and it is also fifteen. " Therefore, Taiyi (B) takes its number as the ninth house, and the four positive and four dimensions are all combined into fifteen. This coincides with the figure in Luoshu, that is, six old yin plus nine, eight little yin plus seven little yang just make up fifteen, which coincides with the way of "one yin and one yang make up fifteen" or Taiji. It can be seen that it is not accidental and arbitrary to use the four numbers of 6789 to represent yin and yang in the divinatory image calculus, but it embodies the profound image concept of the ancients.

However, in the main method of breaking hexagrams, there is a difference between the classical method of "starting hexagrams" and the method of "replacing hexagrams with money". That is, after divination, in addition to referring to divination, we infer measured things and things mainly by analyzing divination images. According to the principle of "Najia", the method of "pushing divination from the forest of fire beads" matches the six hexagrams with the main branch, the five elements, the six relatives, the world reaction and other factors, and infers the measured things mainly by analyzing the relationship between divination and divination, and divination and lunar branch. The divination methods mentioned in this paper are mainly "divination method" and "plum blossom easy number" created by Shao Yong in Song Dynasty, and "divination method with money instead of divination" will not be repeated here.

(2) "plum blossom easy to count" and digital divination.

"Yi Shu of Plum Blossoms" is another more flexible and practical divination method invented by Shao Yong, a master of Yi Studies in the Northern Song Dynasty, which is different from the divination methods of "Great Yan Zhi Number" and "Huozhulin". The book "plum blossom easy number" says: "gossip is divided by eight." No matter how many hexagrams are counted, eight are all hexagrams. If the number exceeds eight, divide by eight and count with zero (remainder). You can't add it with 18 and divide it by 28 and 38, and then divide it by zero. If you get eight integers, that is,' Kun' hexagrams, you don't have to divide them. Where you start, divide the total number of hexagrams by six and use zero as the motive. If it is less than 6, stop using this number as a dynamic, and there is no need to divide it. In the case of six numbers, dividing by 16 is infinite, then dividing by 26 and 36 and dividing by zero. If it moves, just watch it. If it is Yang, it will become Yin; if it is Yin, it will become Yang. Take it if you add it. "

The characteristics of the hexagrams in The Book of Changes of Plum Blossoms are as follows: First, it is composed of two eight diagrams, not six times from bottom to top. There are many directly used numbers as divination contents in The Book of Changes of Plum Blossoms, including the number of things, the number of sounds, the number of strokes, the number of words, the number of feet and so on. "The number of feet accounts for": things with feet, the feet are the upper hexagrams, the number of feet is the lower hexagrams, and the number of feet is the same. Another example is "word count": if the number of words stops evenly, half of them will be divided equally between the upper and lower hexagrams; If the number of words is uneven, one less word is the upper hexagram, which means "the sky is light and bright", and one more word is the lower hexagram, which means "the ground is heavy and turbid".

Everything is produced, died, moved and changed in a certain time and space. Everything is restricted by time and space, and the specific time and space also reflect the specific characteristics and laws of change and development of things. The word "universe", "Yu" refers to infinite space, and the universe refers to infinite time. To say that Zhouyi is a "cosmic algebra" refers to the divinatory image system of Zhouyi, which not only contains infinite temporality, but also shows infinite spaciousness. It organically connects and unifies everything with time and space to form a multi-dimensional holographic relationship. Just like this, it is the secret of divination and divination in Yi-ology to get divination through a certain time or space, connecting with specific things and the laws of their development and change. Time divination and space divination are the reflection of this mystery.

From the holographic point of view, time and space constitute a spatio-temporal network office system. In terms of time, everything in the universe is always holographic in its time flow, and the time structure of each moment is the same. The last thing contains the original thing, which develops into the last thing after a certain time change, that is, the hologram of the beginning and the result. The so-called "as you sow, you reap" is a profound manifestation of this truth. From the perspective of space, space and matter are also holographic. The prediction principle of Zhouyi is also a reflection of this essential connotation. The method of divination by time is also an important method invented by Shao Yong, which is based on the number of years, months and days. Its main contents are:

In addition, there are many divination methods in Zhouyi, especially many random divination methods in Yi Shu of Plum Blossoms, which make it more flexible, but to achieve a high level of usability, we must master everything and its divination images in our minds.

The phenomenon of shooting cover profoundly reflects the holographic connection between reason, number, time and space, everything and the divinatory images in Zhouyi, and also profoundly explains the fact that it is easy to be accurate with heaven and earth, which is worth our in-depth study and discussion.
