Brief introduction of Oracle Bone Inscriptions

Oracle bones are a kind of animal bones used for divination. Oracle bones in Shang and Zhou Dynasties are characterized by some drilling holes. It is reported that Oracle bones have been unearthed in 24 places in China, and the earliest reliable Oracle bones were found in Fuhegoumen site in Inner Mongolia. The last discovery was in the middle of the Western Zhou Dynasty. The most unearthed site is Yin Ruins. The animal bones used for divination, Oracle Bone Inscriptions in Shang and Zhou Dynasties, are characterized by some holes.
