About 654.38 500,000 pieces of Oracle bones were unearthed in Yin Ruins. Oracle bone inscriptions mainly refer to the characters carved by the royal family on tortoise shells or animal bones in the late Shang Dynasty in China for divination.
Besides Yin Ruins, Oracle Bone Inscriptions also appeared in other areas of Henan and Shaanxi, which lasted from the late Shang Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period.
