Regarding Qu Yuan's question about "Nu Wa has a body, who will be a craftsman", Wang Yi, a writer in the Eastern Han Dynasty, commented: "It is said that Nu Wa's head is snake-shaped and her body is seventy times a day. So, who can make a craftsman and figure it out? " It can be seen that the image of Nu Wa was not widely recognized in the Qu Yuan era of the Warring States, but by the Eastern Han Dynasty, the concept of Nu Wa's head as a snake had been initially popularized. In other Han dynasty portrait bricks, there are also snake heads of Nu Wa and Fuxi.

The origin of nuwa characters

According to the information provided by archaeological sites, relics and painted pottery patterns, prehistoric people's struggle against floods and their reproductive worship are rooted in the inheritance of female worship in primitive matriarchal society. According to Sima Zhen, a historian of the Tang Dynasty, who supplemented the Historical Records of Huang San, "Nu Wa refined five-color stones to make up the sky, and breaking Ao Bai was enough to establish four poles."

There are also titles such as Wa Huang, Ling Wa, Di Wa, Feng Huang, Nu Yin, Queen, Nu Wa, Nu Wa, Goddess, Yin Di, Yin Di and Emperor Nv. It is the mother of the earth in ancient legends.
