What is ib course?

The full name of IB course is the International Baccalaute Diploma Program, which is a two-year course designed by the International Diploma Organization for senior high school students. IB curriculum is not only compatible with the mainstream education curriculum system in the world, but also unique under the development of its own educational concept. IB course is a challenging and arduous course with high recognition, which prepares students for entering universities and obtaining international bachelor's degree certificates.

IB courses are distributed in six basic disciplines: experimental science group, mathematics group, art group, mother tongue culture group, foreign language group and individual and society group. In these six subject groups, students choose six courses suitable for their study (courses are also divided into advanced courses and ordinary courses, and students should choose at least three advanced courses). In addition, they need to complete the core subject of IB course: Theory of Knowledge (Tok); Creativity, action and service. IB course has its own grading system, with a maximum score of 7 points for each course, plus 3 points for expanding papers and knowledge theory papers, with a full score of 45 points. The minimum qualified score is 24 points, and you can't get a diploma below 24 points.

The recognition of IB courses by universities around the world is still very high. At present, IB courses are taught simultaneously in 55 countries and more than 500 schools. Students study the same textbooks in IB system and take the global unified exam when they graduate. The proposition and marking of the test paper are directly planned by IB headquarters. Usually, world-class top schools require students to score above 40 points.
