Is Saint Deng Gong the Wargo of the Three Kingdoms?

No, the idol of Deng Qing Temple, Deng Gong Ye Sheng, has no place among all the gods in this country. It is explained that in the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing (1557), the palace caught fire, which lasted for four days and four nights, and Emperor Jiajing was at a loss. In the evening, he dreamed that a man spilled a bowl of water in his hand in the palace and said to the emperor, "Lord, when the rooster crows, it will rain heavily." Sure enough, just after the fourth watch, the rain poured down. The emperor ordered a Buddhist to divine who sent the rain, and learned that he was from Cenxi Mountain Village, named Deng Zizhen, whose legal name was Deng Qing, but he had been gone for half a year. Emperor Jiajing saw Deng Qing's contribution to fire fighting, so he was named "Lord Deng Gong, Earl of Ling Wei".

Cenxi people built Deng Qing Temple in memory of him.
