The main precepts of Taoism

The main precepts of Taoism are the nine commandments of thinking for others; Five precepts; Ten commandments; Jasper is really a big story; Bless the ten commandments of the emperor; Wisdom is the highest commandment; Intellectual resistance to six emotions, top ring; Wisdom gives birth to top-grade commandments; Three-hole precepts; Three precepts and worship of medicines, talking about diseases and so on. The contents of these commandments are similar, but they came into being in different times. Some noble virtues have different views on commandments, but their purposes are the same. The main points are as follows:

(1) The Nine Commandments of Si 'er: that is, "Lao Jun Si Er", also known as "De Zun Jing Si Er". Buddhist precepts originated from Laozi's Notes on the Classic of Thought and Morality, which are divided into three categories: upper, lower and upper. The precepts of the top grade are: governing by doing nothing; Weakness; Don't move yet The precepts of China products are: governing by doing nothing; Quiet; Do good deeds. The precepts of inferiority are: no desire, no demand; Master Zhi Zhi believes that those who can hold the top-grade precepts are expected to become immortals; Those who can keep the precepts of traditional Chinese medicine can prolong life; He who can keep the precepts can avoid death. The Nine Commandments of Xianger became one of the main commandments of the orthodox school.

(2) Five Commandments: namely, the five precepts of the old gentleman, which are called the old gentleman's words and precepts. First, stop killing, second, stop stealing, third, stop whoring, fifth, stop drinking; Taoism believes that the disciples of seal script students are subject to the five precepts after receiving the three precepts, and the five precepts and the three precepts are collectively called the eight precepts. The five precepts are the five latitudes of heaven, and the decline of heaven is different; There are five mountains in the ground, and there is no valley in the tunnel. When counting five lines, when counting five, the fire and water are thin and Jin Mu is injured; When he is ruled as five emperors, the five emperors will die if they break the precepts; In humans, the five internal organs lose their precepts, leading to sexual madness. You can't lose your life without the five commandments. The precepts of the old gentleman in Taishang said: "It is the foundation of the five precepts and the root of the law. Good men and good women, willing to be good at law, never committing crimes for life, is to be honest. " That is, the precepts of Qing believers and Muslim disciples.

(3) Nine Truth Commandments: Also called "Nine Truth Commandments", it is a commandment held by the dead. The Nine Days Emperor personally announced that those who admire and serve will be promoted to nine days, and those who despise will be reduced to nine places. Volume 20 of Tao, Fa and Hui Yuan says, "Those who have nine true precepts declare death, and they have to abstain to concentrate on achieving wonderful Tao." According to the "Wonderful Scripture of the Northern Emperor's Curse", the contents of this precept are as follows: 1. Respect your parents and be filial to your adoptive parents; They are diligent and loyal to the king; Don't kill the three, save all beings with kindness; Fourth, lewd, in things; Five don't steal, push righteousness to harm yourself; Six is not angry, fierce anger; Seven don't bully, flatter thieves and harm good; Eight is not arrogant, arrogant and true; Nine things, one heart and one mind. On the third day of the Supreme Xuanyuan Yutang Dafa, it was said: If the world can get the nine wonderful precepts, it will be free from suffering and live forever. On the day of birth, it will be blessed, and it will die, without reincarnation, and it will go straight to heaven.

(4) The first truth: The first truth is the golden rule that humanists must abide by, the gateway to Taoism and the starting point of monasticism. Jurchen has five precepts, eight precepts, ten precepts and nine citations. In the book "The Theory of the First Truth", the significance of making the first truth is expounded in detail, with the aim of establishing the Tao mind and spreading the Tao.

The first true precept requires that ten evils should not be born, that there should be no thoughts and inaction, that one should devote oneself to practicing Buddhism, get rid of all thoughts and take precepts as a teacher.

In the First True Commandment written by Changyue Wang in the Qing Dynasty, the teacher of Taoism got the precept of three conversions first: the first conversion was too high for the infinite Tao. Never take off the cycle, so it is called Bao Dao; Second conversion to God, 36 reverence for scripture. Smelling Buddhism, it is called Bao Jing; The third metaphysical law of converting to life does not belong to Jaken, so it is called Shibao.

① Five precepts of initial truth: initial truth is the foundation of initial truth, the first door of human nature, the best way to purify the mind, and the hub to make customs and people feel good. Everyone who is a Taoist must firmly understand its meaning.

Five rings: first, do not kill; Second, no meat and no wine; Third, don't be duplicitous; Fourth, don't steal; 5. Don't commit adultery.

These five precepts are the foundation of keeping the body and protecting the law. If we can take these five precepts as the control, it will be beneficial to prolong life, protect the gods, and get rid of the suffering of the five punishments forever without dying.

The Five Commandments later developed into "Eight Rings". Lu said in "Eight Rings": In addition to the craftsman's precepts: six. Don't lie on a high bed; Seven, do not learn sesame oil, thinking that China is a decoration; Eight flies cannot be delayed, so as to advocate words.

② The Ten Commandments of the Truth at the Beginning: Those who hold the Five Commandments should correct their body and mind, eliminate distractions, and let the virtual emperor order them to accept the Ten Commandments of the Truth at the Beginning. The Ten Commandments are:

A teacher must not be disloyal, unfilial and heartless, but should do his best to promote everything; Those who follow the second commandment should not collude with others and harm others and themselves for their own benefit, and behave ethically, so as to enrich society; Those who follow the third precept are not allowed to kill cold and taste, but to show kindness; The first kind, under the temptation, is immoral and defeats the truth, slowing down the gas field, being chaste and not making mistakes; Those who follow the fifth precept cannot be defeated but succeed. They should be separated from each other so that the nine families can live in harmony. The sixth precept, don't slander the virtuous, show their talents and self-esteem, but call people beautiful and good, and don't cut their functions; Those who abstain from the seventh precept are not allowed to drink and eat meat, which violates the law. They should reconcile their qi and specifically clean up the emptiness. The eighth person should not be greedy and accumulate more money, but be thrifty and compassionate to the poor; Those who abstain from nine precepts are not allowed to be friends with non-sages, live in dirty places, be eager for success, and live in poverty; The tenth commandment, don't neglect to talk and laugh, be untrue in actions, be serious and say little, and take morality as a service.

These ten commandments are ordered by the god of the virtual emperor. Those who can do it will be protected by God and will never take off their heads. The "Ten Commandments" pay attention to the moral cultivation of Taoists, and should be loyal, filial, helpful, self-disciplined, frugal, profitable and clean. As the premise of monasticism, the moral norms of abstinence can make Taoists behave correctly, and the world will compete for admiration and return.

Taoism pays special attention to giving to the masses. If we want to shine again and be kind to others, we must give to the masses, which is the foundation of human nature. As far as chastity is concerned, it is necessary to be independent, to get rid of dust, to break off lust, to repair manners, to be a witness to the immortal order, to bless the nine ancestors and to celebrate the flow. As far as property is concerned, my wife's wealth was decided at the beginning of her life. If she makes money, she will use it up and return it. If she suffers from poverty, she will be able to understand this. Everything goes with the flow, she won't take money that doesn't belong to her, and she won't take improper money. Those who can achieve the "Ten Commandments" will get the message, have a clear mind, and the first step of self-cultivation will be achieved.

③ Nine precepts of Jurchen: Changyue Wang added nine precepts of Jurchen after the first precept of Jurchen, as a precept for Taoist women to practice. The nine commandments are: first, filial piety should be gentle, cautious and not jealous; Second, keep chastity and commit adultery; Third, cherish the life of all things and don't kill; Fourth, diligently manage the family, abstain from meat and alcohol; Fifth, the quality of clothes is not the decoration of China; Sixth, adjust your temperament and don't worry; Seven days is not a quick meeting; Eight, do not abuse slaves; Nine, don't steal words.

According to the Taoist scriptures, ten good families will be born as long as you can practice the commandments. If you don't go to hell, you will make a name for yourself in the purple mansion and rank among the immortals.

(5) Zhongji Ring: Zhongji Ring was granted to the Supreme Daojun by the Heavenly Kings in the Yuan Dynasty, in order to promote the supreme emperor and immortal. There are * * * 300 precepts, which are called "China 300 Commandments". The content of Zhongji precept is very detailed, from words and deeds to words, which is one of the most detailed precepts in Taoism. However, some of the contents in Zhongji Jie are no longer suitable for the requirements of the times and should be treated differently. When you keep the first true precept, you won't make any mistakes until you can give the second true precept.

(6) Daxian Ring: Daxian Ring is the last Daxian Ring in the Three Altars. The perfection of three altars is a three-altar teaching method based on the first truth, the middle extreme and the great immortal. Great and immortal commandments are only granted to those who hold 300 great commandments without committing any crime.

The first true precept, the middle precept and the Great Immortal precept are collectively called "Three Altars and Great Immortal Commandments". Those who are told by the middle pole are called the teachers of wonderful virtues; Those who accept the first truth are called excellent teachers.

(7) Lent Day: Lent Day refers to a certain day in Ramadan, or when the founder celebrates Christmas or has fasting and other activities, Taoists must act in strict accordance with the contents of Taoist rituals.

Taoism has also set up a special fast day, namely January fast day, while formulating commandments. On this day, we must strictly abide by the precepts of Taoism, so that when we hold the ceremony, we can be protected by the gods, responsive and telepathic.

Taoism has ten lent, eight lent, three lent, four lent and three lent.

① Lent: every month 1 day, 8th,14th,15th,18th, 23rd, 24th, 28th, 29th,10th (27th is the first day of abortion).

② Eight fasting days: beginning of spring Day, Spring Equinox, Lixia Day, Summer solstice, beginning of autumn Day, Autumn Equinox, Lidong Day and Winter solstice.

(3) Three-yuan fast days: 15th of the first month, 15th of July and 15th of October.

(4) Lent lasts for four days: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st.

⑤ Three lent days: the seventh day of the first month, the seventh day of July and the fifth day of October.

These fasting days are the specific time for fasting. In the days of fasting, we must strictly observe the precepts and guard them, so as to truly educate and purify the world.

⑥ Punishment for violating the precepts: Violating the precepts means that the ordained monks have violated the rules and regulations that they should abide by. Breaking the precepts means that Taoist priests break the rules again. There are uniform rules for those who violate the precepts and precepts. Later, all kinds of temples used discipline as the standard of punishment. At present, we mainly focus on criticism and education until we urge expulsion.

⑦ The main fasting day at present: At present, there are some changes between the fasting day of Quanzhen Temple and the traditional customization. In the Shifang jungle, the first and fifteenth days of the lunar calendar and the Christmas of ancestors are the main fasting days, and the temples of future generations are also based on traditional customization.

Main rituals of Taoism

(1) homework in the morning and evening:

Morning and evening homework is a compulsory course in two existing schools in China. There were morning and evening classes after the Southern and Northern Dynasties. The Taoist priests living in the temple attend classes at 2 o'clock every day, chanting chansons Sutra, opening sutra, cleansing mantra, cleansing mantra, cleansing sutra, and singing hymns and worshipping the Jade Emperor in Miao Jing, Yin Shin. One is to cultivate true temperament, the other is to pray for Buddha, the third is to strengthen the mind of Taoist temple, and the fourth is to embody the management style of Taoist temple. Now self-study in the morning and evening is customized among every resident according to tradition.

(2) Quan Zhen Chuan Xun:

Preaching, also known as open preaching. Refers to the whole process from the opening of the altar to the completion of the sermon. A Taoist priest became a monk. At first, Taoist was a Taoist boy. He learned the classics from a teacher in Sun Temple. When the ten-square jungle opened the altar to preach the precepts, the owner of the descendants temple recommended him to be ordained in the jungle.

After the emergence of Quanzhen religion in Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Qiu Chuji, a real person in Changchun, established a model of Taoist Quanzhen religion according to the existing precepts of Taoism. During the reign of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, abbot Changyue Wang, the seventh generation lawyer of Quanzhen Longmen School, recreated Quanzhen Jungle and set up an altar to give lectures at Beijing Baiyun Temple for the first time. He inherited the precepts and rituals of Quanzhen religion, and talked about the first true commandment, the middle commandment and the great immortal commandment, which are collectively called the "Three Great Commandments". Changyue Wang said: "If you don't keep the precepts, you can't reach the truth." When talking about precepts, the altar of abstinence is generally divided into three stages. The abbot of Shifang Jungle is responsible for preaching the precepts, and is called "Master Zun", also known as the coach.

During the mission, the disciples passed the "examination": the ordained disciples distinguished the rankings and arranged the numbers in the order of "thousands of words". After successful missionary work, they compiled Deng Zhen Zuo. After getting the ring name, I will consciously abide by the precepts and not violate the rules. After passing the exam, I will issue a "ring" as proof.

(3) Justice grant. "Yong" usually refers to recording the deeds of Tianguan and Cao Cao, the names and genera of the ten immortals, the summoner of the gods, the deeds and the execution of spells. Only by obeying the law can an upright scholar become famous in heaven and become a priest. With the Taoist priest, the chapters and sentences in his fasting can reach the heaven and be protected by the gods, otherwise the chapters and sentences in his fasting will be invalid.

After the Taoist priest was printed, when the signer in the seal script presided over the fast, the general protected himself and helped the signer to kill the evil spirit. Pull out life and help the poor. No one has the right to send a ghost who is a servant of God until he is accepted by the government.

"Suffering" means "abstaining from love, stopping evil, breaking the root of evil, having a cause, starting from the mortal world, from beginning to end, starting from abstinence, and then starting from truth."

After being accepted, the Taoist priest was given an official certificate to prove his legal status and a sacred world recorded in his name, thus reaching the gods. Referred to as "post".
