The easiest way to identify obsidian: color, rainbow eyes, touch, hardness measurement, using ultraviolet light.

1, color: you can identify the authenticity of obsidian by color. The real obsidian is pure black, opaque, and looks black and shiny. The color of fake obsidian is impure, dark brown or dark brown yellow, and the texture is relatively transparent.

2, rainbow eyes: you can see the rainbow eyes to distinguish, true obsidian can see uneven distribution and beautiful rainbow eyes under strong light, and the shapes are different. Fake obsidian can't see rainbow eyes, it's as black as glass.

3, touch: touch identification, true obsidian tentacles are cold, much cooler than glass, and have good thermal conductivity. The tentacles of fake obsidian are warm and dry, and feel rough, and its temperature changes with the change of environment.

4. Measuring hardness: Obsidian has a high hardness and can be tested with a hardness tester. If the hardness is lower than 5.5, it may be fake.
