A story or legend about a bridge

The Legend of Yufeng Bridge

When you enter Dong Township, you can often see a unique wind and rain bridge. Speaking of Yuqiao, there is a myth and legend.

In ancient times, there was no equal village. Dong lived on a hillside in a small hut with only a dozen families. There was a young man named Buka in a small hut. He married a wife named Pei Guan. The couple are so in love that they are almost inseparable. When they came back from work, one picked firewood, one carried grass, one carried a hoe and one carried Petunia, and they followed. This crown is very beautiful. When the couple crossed the bridge, the fish in the river jumped out of the water enviously to see them.

One morning, the river suddenly swelled. Mr. and Mrs. Buka were anxious to work in Xishan, and they didn't care much. They walked together to the small wooden bridge in front of the village. Just as they walked to the middle of the bridge, a strong wind suddenly blew, which made Buka unable to open his eyes. Pei Guan sighed and fell into the river. Buka opened his eyes and saw that his wife was gone. Knowing that he was blown into the river, he jumped into the water and plunged into it. However, I looked for it several times and found it. When the villagers found out, they all rushed to help him find it. They searched for a long time, but they still couldn't find Pei Guan. What the hell is going on here?

It turned out that there was a crab essence deep in the bend of the river, which rolled the crown into the hole at the bottom of the river. Suddenly, the crab essence turned into a beautiful teenager and wanted to be his wife, but he refused and slapped him. He immediately exposed the humiliating threat of winning the championship. Pei Guan cried and cursed, and the sound of crying and cursing spread from the bottom of the river to the ear of a flower dragon upstream.

At this time, it was stormy and the waves were rolling, and I saw a flower dragon in the waves, looking around with its head held high. The faucet looks to the left, the wave hits the left, the left side collapses, the faucet looks to the right, the wave rushes to the right, and the right bank cracks. The small wooden bridge has been washed away by the waves. Everyone is scared. But when the faucet came to the beach in Buka, it calmed down after several waves. Later, the flower dragon circled the water and rushed to the bottom of the river. Suddenly, the sound of the bottom of the river "Gu Gu Gong" kept coming, and the maelstrom came one after another. Then, a black smoke emerged from the water and rose into the air, turning into a dark cloud. The flower dragon rushed into the air after it, churning its body, pressing the dark cloud down, and finally pressing it to its true colors. It turned out to be a black crab as big as the top of the Drum Tower. The black crab ran away and climbed to a three-foot cliff. The dragon fell into the water and did a somersault. With a flick of its tail, it swept the crab into the water again. After these rounds, the crab was exhausted and waddled to the bamboo forest, trying to block the dragon with bamboo. However, the dragon jumped up and opened its mouth to spray water, causing the bamboo forest to fall one by one and the crab to fall into the river again. After the dragon chased it to the end, the waves rolled down the river, and then the black crab was never seen again. Later, not far from the bend of the river, a black stone in the shape of a crab was exposed, which is where Hualong strangled the crab essence. This stone was later called crab stone.

When the river was calm, I heard a woman's voice calling on the opposite beach. Buka saw that it was his wife. Buka immediately called several people to go swimming. After landing, Pei Guan said to Buka: "Thank you for the rescue of Hualong!" This just knows that Hualong saved her, and everyone is very grateful to Hualong. At this time, the flower dragon flew back to the upstream, nodding to people from time to time.

This matter soon spread all over Dongxiang. Everyone changed the small wooden bridge near the water surface into a big wooden bridge like an air corridor, and carved dragon patterns on the four central pillars of the bridge, wishing the dragon to stay there. After the completion of the big wooden bridge in the air corridor, a grand celebration ceremony was held, which was very lively. At this time, there are colorful clouds floating in the sky, shaped like a long dragon, shining in all directions. When people look closely, it is Hualong who comes back to visit everyone. Therefore, people later called this kind of bridge Huilong Bridge. Some places are also called flower bridge, and because it can shelter from wind and rain, it is also called wind and rain bridge.

2. The Legend of Huixian Bridge

Huixian Bridge is on Minzu Road in Yuzhong District, right in the center of the square in front of Huixian Building. Huixian Bridge disappeared a long time ago. My uncle came to work in Chongqing in the early 1920s and has never seen this bridge. But the place names in Huixian Bridge existed until the 1980s.

There were not many people in ancient Chongqing, and Daliangzi (now Xinhua Road) was still a forest. A stream flows down from Daliangzi, which is about Zhengyang Street, passes through Dayanggou, reaches Hongyadong and flows into Jialing River. Huixian Bridge is a bridge on this stream, which may be less than 10 meter long. It is called Huixian Bridge because it is said that someone met a fairy here. However, there are many versions of this legend.

There is a saying that an old man opened a cold pub under the bridge, and Taoist priests in Laojundong on the south bank often came to his restaurant to drink. The Taoist invited the old man to play in Laojun Cave. When the old man went, the Taoist invited him to eat tofu pudding and brought out a bowl of tofu pudding, which two people could never finish. In the afternoon, the old man returned to the pub. The old woman was surprised and said, "You haven't been back for many years?" The old man said, "You are crazy. I only played for half a day. " But when I looked in the mirror, I actually grew a long white beard. The old man realized that the Taoist priest he met was a fairy. People passed it on from mouth to mouth, so people called the bridge in front of the pub Huixian Bridge.

The origin of Cat Bridge-Legend!

Once upon a time, there was a bridge at the corner of Pipa Street in Hangzhou. An old cobbler lived by the bridge. The old shoemaker is a lonely old man with a cat at home. The cat is naked and has few hairs. Looks ugly. It can't catch mice, and it doesn't even bother to bark. All day long, it quietly fell at the old shoemaker's feet and dozed off. The neighbors looked very unhappy and advised the old cobbler to say, "throw it away before it is too late." What's the use of keeping a furry cat! " But when the old cobbler heard this, he always shook his head: "My house is deserted, it is better to keep a cat as a companion."

One day, a treasure hunter passed by here. It happened that the back eye of a boot was missing, so he turned into the old shoemaker's shoe repair shop and asked him to repair it. The treasure picker was waiting by, looking around, and he saw a mangy cat at the foot of the old shoemaker. After staring at the cat for a long time, he asked the old cobbler, "Uncle, do you have this cat?" The old cobbler nodded. The treasure picker asked again, "I'll give you three hundred and twenty pieces of silver and sell it to me!" " The old shoemaker thought he was just joking, so he said, "What did you buy such a cat for? "The treasure picker said," You don't have to worry about what you buy or do. As long as you promise to give it to me, you will pay for the goods. "The old cobbler shook his head:" I never said that I had three hundred and twenty pieces of silver to buy a cat! "I don't sell, I don't sell!"

Onlookers advised the old cobbler to say, "Old cobbler, you have worked hard for most of your life, and you haven't even saved enough three hundred and twenty pieces of silver. Now that I have three hundred and twenty pieces of silver, I will never be poor again. Sell him this furry cat quickly. "

The old shoemaker was not tempted. He said slowly, "I have been poor for most of my life." As long as I work hard and have a bowl of rice to eat, I definitely don't expect this kitten to make a fortune! "

People laughed at the old shoemaker as a fool.

What did you say? Everyone is talking about it. It happened that Yang Batou's bad habit Lalitou passed by here. When Lalitou heard that there was such a bargain, Ah Wu hurried into the crowd, bowed to the person who found the money, and said, "Please welcome the distinguished guests! It is not difficult for you to have this furry cat. Just tell me what cats can do, and my fifth master has the final say! "

As soon as people saw Lalitou Ah Wu, they all avoided him. Seeing that this man is very powerful in the local area, treasure hunters expect him to appear. Not afraid of not getting it, the cat said, "Master Wu, look at this cat carefully. Although it has only a few yellow hairs, it shines in the sun. It's a golden cat! Wu Ye didn't know that there were twelve jade rats on the top of Pagoda of Six Harmonies near Qiantang River. They would come out to play on the top of the tower in the middle of the night. That jade mouse is priceless, and only this golden cat can catch it. "

A Wu, a Lalitou, felt itchy. He had already made another abacus in his stomach, but he said, "Good, good!"

When the treasure hunter touched his body, it happened that he didn't have enough money. He told Lalitou Wu Shuo, "Master Wu, it's a date with you. I'll get the money right away and come back to hug the cat at night. " With that, he put on his newly nailed boots and left in a hurry.

When Lalitou Awu saw that the treasure hunter had left, he turned to the old cobbler and said, "Old man, lend the cat to Wu Ye and I'll give it back to you when I catch the jade mouse." The old cobbler quickly protected the cat and replied, "I was reluctant to part with this cat, but now I am reluctant to part with those twelve jade mice." The baby belongs to everyone and should be left at the top of the tower. Why do you want to catch it! "

On May 1st, Lalitou cocked his mouth, smoothed his sleeves and knocked the old cobbler unconscious with three fists and two feet. He picked up the cat from the old shoemaker and left screaming.

After dark, Lalitou Awu was drunk, holding the cat alone and waddling towards Qiantang River. He climbed the hill and came to the foot of Pagoda of Six Harmonies. When the moon was in the sky in the middle of the night, he looked up, ha! Sure enough, twelve glittering and translucent mice are jumping around the top of the tower to play. Lalitou Wu quickly released the cat from her arms. Strange to say, this cat usually dozes off with its eyes narrowed, but suddenly it becomes active: it looks like a little tiger just coming out of the mountain, with its head held high, its ears pricked up, its tail upturned and its eyes bright. It called "meow, meow" twice towards the top of the tower and jumped on the top.

When the jade mouse saw the golden cat, they all fell from the top of the tower in fear and broke into pieces. Lalitou Awu rushed over, but the jade mouse disappeared, thinking it had escaped, and jumped out. Because I was drunk, I was out of my mind, and I used too much force. My foot slipped and slammed down the hillside and fell into the Qiantang River.

Besides, the treasure picker went home to get the money, first went to the market to buy a big net and a large bundle of silk floss, and then went to the old shoemaker's shoe store to hug the cat. At first glance, the old cobbler fainted on the ground, and the golden cat had long since disappeared. He thought: No way, it must be Lalitou Awu who did it first! I hurried to Qiantang River. It turned out that the treasure picker sold a secret in front of Ah Wu in "Lalitou": he only talked about the use of the golden cat, but did not teach him how to catch the jade mouse. When catching the jade mouse, you should first open a large net under the tower and spread it with thick silk floss before going to herding cats. In this way, the jade mouse will not escape and will not be broken.

When the treasure hunter arrived in Pagoda of Six Harmonies, the jade mouse was broken and Lalitou Ah Wu died in the river. Seeing this, he stamped his foot and sighed; But things are irreparable, so we have to admit that we are unlucky and close the net and leave.

Since then, there have been no twelve jade rats in Pagoda of Six Harmonies.

The bridge next to the old shoemaker's shoe repair shop is called "cat bridge" because it happened that year.

In the old days, there was a tributary along the Fei River to the north at the east end of Bashang Street outside the East Gate of Hefei, and there was a bridge at the mouth of the tributary, which was called "Phoenix Bridge". The earliest time was the river beach, with green trees and red flowers embracing each other, and the scenery was very beautiful.

Legend has it that one year on the night of Qixi, sisters in a village near the river beach got together and tied colorful threads and needles in succession, hoping to become "skillful hands", "skillful sisters" and "clever daughters-in-law" in order to get a reward from the gods. Just as the two sisters were busy, a girl with the most dexterous hands suddenly saw that the sky was wide open, the Milky Way was crossing at the beginning, and the cowherd and the weaver girl met. The girl cried with joy: "Look! Look! Cowherd and Weaver Girl Meet! " In order not to lose the elegance of the girl, the girl covers her mouth with her hand from time to time. Who knows this action was seen by the fairy, who mistakenly thought that Qiao Mei wanted to grow a beard on her mouth, so she gave it generously. Since then, the clever girl has grown many thick beards on her mouth.

A girl's house, with so many thick beards on her mouth, men and women. How does she meet people? Miss Qiao hid in the boudoir all day, unable to go out, sad and painful. It's another night in silver moon. The more Miss Qiao thinks about it, the worse it gets, and the life is hard. Then she quietly came to the Fei River and sighed at Tianhe and silver moon: "God, your reward didn't bring me any joy and happiness, but it made me miserable! If you have a spirit, let me plug in my wings and fly to the south to get rid of this boundless sea of suffering. " With that, he plopped into the river.

He said that he was so naive that he heard Miss Qiao's crying in the south that day, and he felt deeply guilty. However, Miss Qiao has thrown herself into the river. What shall we do? God thought for a moment, took out a beautiful girl named Xiang Qiao and threw her into the river, only to see the river flood instantly and suddenly a colorful golden phoenix flew out of the river.

Since then, it has been blessed by the gods and has an auspicious atmosphere. Every morning, the sun rises, the rosy clouds reflect the earth, and the auspicious atmosphere lingers. There are always several phoenixes flying around in it, which is a great sight in Yue Xian. Later, in order to admire Miss Qiao and appreciate the aura of Phoenix, people set up a big Qingshi Bridge here, which is called "Phoenix Bridge".

Legend of Qiao Feng

A temple can only have one monk in charge. Hanshan and two monks are in a temple. Who will be the host? The two monks are very polite, and pushing and shoving is of no help. It doesn't matter when there are only two monks in this temple. Problems will arise when a group of young monks come in one after another. The young monk asked, "Old monk, which scripture did you read today?" Hanshan said, "You should ask the master to pick it up first." The young monk went to ask Pickup, who said, "Let's ask Master Hanshan." They respect each other, but they suffer from the young monk, how to entertain pilgrims, how much sesame oil to buy, who to send to collect firewood, and so on. The young monk is at a loss, and if he has any opinions, it is hard to be vague. The young monk's words reached Hanshan's ears and picked them up. They discussed them again and pushed them around, but there was still no result. Then an old peasant woman came up and said, "Second Master, don't be modest. Let me give you an idea. It's fairest for you to be a big monk. " Picking it up in the cold mountain is an idea. However, compared with what, the peasant woman pointed to a river in front of the temple and said that there was no bridge on this river, so it was inconvenient and dangerous for villagers to cross the river. Please use your magic to change this bridge, and the skilled one will come out. Monks don't gossip, and they are not afraid of hiding spells when picking them up in cold mountains. Sure enough, they cast spells first, took off their robes and threw them into the river, turning them into bridge decks. Unfortunately, there is no bridge support. After a while, when the wind blows, it will collapse. Hanshan hurriedly inserted the mord in his hand into the river and carried the magic weapon on his back. The mord suddenly turned into a tree. When the tree crossed the river, a bridge stood firmly on the river. The old peasant woman smiled and said, "Hanshan is more capable." As she spoke, she threw her handkerchief at her feet and it turned into a lotus flower. She stepped on the lotus and rose into the air. Hanshan picked it up and looked at it. It turns out that the old peasant woman was changed by Guanyin. Hanshan should be a responsible monk, and that temple is also called Hanshan Temple. Hanshan's mord was cut from a maple tree, so this bridge is naturally called "Maple Bridge".
