Why are you shaking the lights?
In ancient China, Yaoguang was also known as the Big Dipper and the Broken Army Star, and was regarded as one of the stars symbolizing good luck. Among them, the name "Broken Army Star" is the product of the combination of China's folk theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements with astronomy, with strong elements of divination and fortune-telling.
Yaoguang, also known as Eta Ursae Majoris, whose English names are Alkaid [1] and η UMa, also known as defensive star in Chinese, is the seventh star of the Big Dipper, located at the bucket handle-shaped end of the Big Dipper, and the easternmost star in the Big Dipper, located in Ursa Major. Yaoguang apparent magnitude reached 1.86 [2], making it the 39th bright star in the whole day and the 3rd bright star in the Big Dipper. Its spectral type is B3V, which is a blue-white main sequence star.
